You are playing say BTS and the game loads, and you get a kill or two. Then a page pops up showing a list of players for both sides complete with their points etc. You wait for the game to continue, but it dont until much later.
Finally youre back into the match and before you know it… GAME OVER… And there is that same screen only this time it lists you as having died 10 times.
What gives?
At first I thought this was due to people quitting a match already in progress, but that dont explain it. No loss of net services. {10 meg} So anyone have any ideas as to why this happens?
That screen usually appears when a host migration occurs. As you’ve noted, one possible cause of this is that the host has quit.
The specific scenario that you’ve described, however, makes it sound to me like you lost connection to the host for a lengthy period of time. You might not have lost Internet access, but some problem could have occurred between you and that specific player that led to a lengthy blackscreen.
I had one tonight where the game was about 1 minute in then we get the players screen because a couple quit, then hip puts new players in their place and they already have points showing before the game even starts again. Were all sitting in the players screen and when we come back the other team now has a large lead where as before the screen they didnt have a single point. Thanks for a buggy beta 343.
Dreaded black screen… hate it, had it pop up during a Dominion match, next thing I noticed, the other team had the base I was in, and I am in the middle of nowhere. Twice so far, havn’t played Dominion since then, granted, only got so much til I finish of my commendation, so I should go back.
