I just want to let you all know that no matter how much we fight over little things before Halo 4 is released it won’t be nearly as bad as it will be a few days after the game is released. No matter how good or bad the game is these forums are going to be hectic. Filled will spoilers and complaints. Questions for things like “How do you do this simple task in Forge?” will be all over the place. The forums will not longer be a place for some hate, some excitement, and an overall optimism. They will be filled with hate and people begging for patches.

Examples:

Halo 2
Halo 2 a month before release

Halo 2 right after release

Halo 3
A month before Halo 3

Right after Halo 3’s release.

Halo Reach
Reach a month before release

Halo Reach right after release

I don’t want to scare you but it’s inevitable. No matter how much you like or dislike Halo 4 after it’s released the forums will be filled to the brim with negativity. If you’re new to Halo or you’re new to video game forums I’d urge you to stay away from these forums after release or try your hardest not to let the complaints bother you. I still believe that all the complaints during Halo 3 forum days ruined that game for me. People were explaining things they hated that I didn’t even know existed… lol

Just a little heads up to enjoy the “good” times while they last because November 6th and on this place will be a disaster.

The lead up to Halo 4 will be the most excited you will ever be for Halo 4. Please take the time to truly enjoy the experience you are in. After the game is released all the hype will be gone and it’ll be back to waiting for more news.

I doubt we’ll be as bad as Bungie (at least in terms of traffic), but I am not looking forward to being a mod in the coming months.

If I have anything to complain about, it would probably be something along the lines of saying the Campaign was too short and I can’t wait for Halo 5’s Campaign.

i said it in another thread, and I will say it here. People will be asking for a TU within 12 hours after launch.

Wow, there was a guy complaining about how h2 had a cliff hanger. That made the game that much better. What an idiot.

Hopefully the super aggressive and blood thirsty mods will keep it under control.

You could elect a bunch of mods just for November to help with the initial traffic spike and then get rid of them in January.
