With the semi-recent news that epic is going to make a switch available in Easy anti cheat to make games compatible with linux through proton, I would love to see this done for MCC. We’re not asking for a native linux port, just for linux support to be enabled. Halo would be great to have on steam deck!

Be prepared to bump this thread every once in a while to keep attention on the subject. I’ve searched for any 343i dev response to the news hoping to at least hear something about it. Crickets.
We can all hope that there is progress being made towards checking the box and pushing the patch.

Valve just showed off the Steam Deck Verified system. Epic added support for proton in EAC and Halo MCC is already PERFECTLY playable thru proton except the multiplayer.

I just saw today that Epic finally announced full EAC support for Linux including Wine & Proton about a month ago. It sounded like it was on its way with Valve’s early claims about what the Steam Deck would support.
Please 343i, add Proton EAC support!
