Please dont put this on halo 4

If any Halo 4 makers/creators are reading this. Please take away custom classes and in-game joining. Make it like Halo 3. It will make the experience 100 times better. We don’t want to be playing a Sci-Fi version of C.O.D!

Thank you for your constructive criticism im sure 343i will take note this.

That line alone…proves you are a troll.

This thread is quite redundant and pointless, since it won’t change anything.

Custom classes and join in progress FTW. Classes add so much more depth into gameplay and plus Halo always needed Join in progress.

i don’t fully agree that customization brings depth to a game… i find halo 3 and reach have much more depth than modern warfare and black ops. to further the point chess is one of the games with the most depth yet both player have the same static pieces.

> i don’t fully agree that customization brings depth to a game…

Wut? Of course it does. It allows you to do more things you couldn’t before. Proving to be the very definition of the word depth.

Did this person not listen to the pod cast on how these custom classes will work? Does he not understand that this isn’t about unlocking better guns? If anything the loud outs from Reach felt more like choosing a class from Star Wars Battlefront, and I’m certain that’s how the loud outs will feel for Halo 4.

In the almighty words of Master Chief himself (click this).

This is why Frankie doesn’t post on this forum because there are already so many other certified game designers.

It’s hilarious how many people think classes and join in-progress are things CoD invented, and use that as to why it’s bad. They could at least come up with a reason they’re bad instead of letting their bias speak for them.

Troll or not. I agree.

OP thinks that Halo should not evolve like other games and use features that has been available on other game for years (join in progress pre-dates CoD) out of fear of copying CoD, and instead wants to see the same game again with minor changes, just like CoD.
Why copy CoD, when you can actually clone the bad parts?
Sorry OP, but you’re absolutely wrong in so many ways. Games need to evolve…

People need to stop saying Halo 4 is going to be exactly like COD. In fact, they are very different. Plus, I like the idea of in-game joining.

Do you think he’s wrong?

Join in game is nothing but helpful. It is certainly much better than one person on your team leaving in the pre-game lobby then you have no hope from the start. It is also helpful because sometimes there is a good reason you might have to leave in game, unlike Reach which assumes anyone who does so is a horrible person and should be punished.

As for custom classes, they can be OK if they are done well. The loadouts in Reach were not done well, and thus ruined the game experience in my opinion.

And on a semantics note, while CoD did not introduce these features, it did make them popular. Saying that those features came out way before CoD is like saying smart phones existed long before the iPhone, they did, but droids were not built to complete with blackberry.

All said it can never be a sci-fi version of CoD, because in the maps we have already seen there isn’t just a loose collection of war-torn buildings.

I hope my post is considered thoughtfully because the use of large red text made the OP’s point completely invalid, whatever it said.
