Title says it all. I don’t want to see another Mass Effect 3 DLC debacle, and start hearing about how 343 Industries is now a “money -Yoink!-.” Next thing you know you’ll go on Metacritic, and people will give the game -Yoink- reviews over something so small.
If you feel so offended then cancel your LE preorder, but don’t start getting dramatic and talking about how the developer doesn’t listen to the community. As in show the developers some respect, and hope they respond.
Mass Effect 3 was another story all together. They made promises that turned out to be false, and gave people a terrible ending. The same ending that they say they wouldn’t give. Then, there’s the fact that Bio Ware had an uppity, do no wrong attitude, and claimed artistic integrity when the fans called them out on their lies.
What we have isn’t even close to the Mass Effect 3, debacle. I’s more along the lines of Gears of War 3’s DLC debacle, if anything.
I don’t like it when developers and publishers promise something, and don’t fulfill it. I just want answers as to why this was done. We shouldn’t burn down a building or anything, but it is a valid concern.

Except this time, we’re calling out 343i before the game launches (rather than Gears fans protesting AFTER the game was released)
No matter what you say about this, it’s pretty shady move by 343i. But we can all still cancel our LE pre-orders, i guess.
Mine is already canceled but thank you for your concern OP, which is pretty meaningless.

True. There’s still time. I might not cancel my Limited Edition, because I’ve already paid full price into it a while ago, and I like the physical stuff as well. But I don’t want this to become a precedent for 343i and Microsoft to start taking this stuff to the next level with future Halo games.
Well they deserve it, you shouldn’t let a company screw you over.
Wait. I was gone for a few days; what’s up with the LE?
Can some one explain what the problem is? Because I wasn’t even aware there was one.

Certain things that were promised to be confined to the Limited Edition are not anymore (“early” Specializations access). And the War Games Map Pass is being sold separately with extra content in in (two helmets and a emblem). Despite Limited Edition owners also have a map pack, they don’t get the extra content.
