Please don't make Halo 6 yet!

The jarring cliffhangers and plot holes between Halo 4 and 5 need to be addressed if the story and lore are ever going to be taken seriously again. We need something to bridge the gap between the two games to make it all lead into Halo 6 a lot smoother. Halo Wars 2 takes place after Halo 5 and will probably attempt to clean up some of the mess, but we need to have something in the past to wrap around all the missing story aspects.

Halo 6 itself may solve the problem. Also we don’t even know IF 343 knows whats going on yet. Id rather them at least think it out a few years then hastily come up with a band-aid game.

I don’t think more set up for what is already a setup game is going to help.

They should wait at least two more console generations.

Isn’t the only real plothole between 4 and 5 John’s evolution thing? Most issues with h5 are stuff that should have been explained during the game, or simply not happened at all.

They also forgot about the Knights being human. Because a slave army of humans turned into AIs against their will certainly has nothing at all that could be tied into the narrative of Halo 5. Nope, not at all.

True, I guess with either point though its a question of “would a halo 4.5 actually fix this in a way that halo 6 couldn’t?” I’d say no. Such a discussion on their origins, while great, wouldn’t really flow well before halo 5. Since she hasn’t emerged yet, the most she could do is monologue about it to herself.

Sadly h5 does very little to lay out Cortana’s actual plan, it gets simplified by chief, but she never seems to defend it being more complicated than that beyond “just wait and see!”

That does bother me a little. Just one of the many dropped story points of Halo 4.

That’s downplaying it heavily. Halo 5 dropped nearly every story point set up in all Halo media in the last 5 years.

343 should also create a new engine for the games because they still are using the one from previous games and it would be better if Microsoft if at least help fund more expensive things like more models for both types of Sangheili, jackals, and maybe even grunts.

In a perfect world 343i would resolve the Created plot in a second part so that they can move past this awful premise onto something interesting for Halo 6.
