Please don't make custom classes in Halo 4.

We want to play a Halo game, not a Call of Duty game.

I will not buy Halo 4 (Or any future Halos by 343i) if it includes a class based system. Reach’s was bad enough. Going full-blown custom would kill Halo.

Although I don’t understand why one would think 343i would do such a thing. From what we’ve heard so far, they’ve got their head screwed on tight.

This.

SPAWN EVERYONE EQUAL PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

being able to create your own custom class would be awsome…its not really copying cod when alot of other games do it like home front, battlefield, gears iof war…etc.

All of the games that you listed are modern war shooter games, besides Gears of War. Halo is one of the few games I have every played when the weapons are scattered across the map and you have to fight for them. I think it makes it more of a challenge to get a weapon then throwing it into your class hint hint, (like every other shooter game that comes out these days.) What I’m trying to say is that 343 needs to keep Halo unique. They don’t need to turn it into another modern shooter. Perhaps, maybe they got this in mind all ready. =p

there should still be custom classes but only in custom games or maybe firefight

So when just about every other game does it, Halo should too? No. Halo has never been about classes. Everybody spawns equal. What happens during the match is fair ground. Why do you think Reach was easily the most controversial game?

For slayer game types… I agree.

These AA loadouts should be strictly in objective game types… and only objective game types.

Even then I’m against it. Perhaps insane gametypes like Invasion, but not in standard Halo gameplay. Leave that to fun custom games.

Loadouts should be an option in custom games only. - Not in Multiplayer.

I would rather have them not in the game than in Multiplayer.

Lol, OP implying that Reach has classes.

Anyway, back to business: I personally like the idea of loadouts. Reach does have some problems, but the idea of adding loadouts and being able to customize them by gametype was a brilliant idea and one that should return in Halo 4 and beyond. I’m not saying exactly like Reach’s current multiplayer, but a similar idea. Games like Invasion were build around AAs and custom loadouts, but such things should stayout of default gametypes.

Honestly? I like partial customization options.

While I don’t think everyone should be picking Rocks+Sniper for their starting combo, sometimes I wanna go AR/SMG (heh), other times I want to go for a BR/DMR+Magnum.

Other times I want to go with DMR+Plasma Pistol.

The point is, not all “standard” weapons are the same for everyone. Most of the time, for example, I hate starting with DRM/AR, sometimes AR/Magnum, yet these are the “standard” loadouts.

Then again, this is pretty standard for Halo. But before you get too happy about it being that players like the “all equal” thing, don’t forget how many people drop on maps that they start out with Covy weapons.

Some control = good. After all, in real life soldiers have specialties.
Full control = bad. We all know that guy that would go Rocket+Sword or Rocket+Snipe. There are reasons that those weapons are limited in their placement on maps.

Agreed.

Equality is the name of the game.

Agreed!!! Classes is = to COD. Please let everyone spawn equal. Make them fight over the power ups like Overshield and Active Camo.

Agreed OP. Part of what made the first trilogy so beautiful was the simplicity of everyone starting as equals and using their skills and knowledge to distinguish themselves.

Having options before spawning is bad because it breaks that equality.

trust me dude they rnt gonna do that and IF they did i would personnaly shoot the head of 343 in the face with a shotgun
