Please do not forget Halo 5's Music!!!

I really like a lot of Halo 5’s tracks. Some of them were genuinely on the level of classic tracks. Some tracks I would like to see return would be
Advent
Meridian Crossing
Covenant Prayers
Walk Softly
Warrior World
The Light is Green
Untethered

I would really appreciate if 343 considers this thought. There were some genuinely good aspects of Halo 5 and the sound track was one of them. I would not like to see it forgotten.

I disagree. The halo 5 music is not classic. Dude sorry but this comment won’t get love from me.

Ahh, it is ok. We all have our opinions.

Halo 5 has a good mix of new and old that I think too many people overlook. I’d like to see it again in Infinite.

We need music similar to the original trilogy’s music… it’s so heavenly

halo 5 had a great soundtrack but I wouldn’t say it’s as classic or iconic as the older tracks. I do they that some newer infinite tracks should try to include that little chime, theme or what ever it’s called that showed up in most of osiris’ songs though. specifically starting from this point to 1:55 in the light is green. if anything in the halo 5 ost would be able to carry on into future halo sound tracks it’d be songs like the light is green.

You didnt even think of “The Trials”?? That has about all the good music into one!

I think what we need is a soundtrack from Halo 1&2. Halo 3 did a good job on that one, I think. And so does ODST.

I think they will bring back the classic songs to make the mood great in the campaign

Halo 5 has the worst music in the entire franchise. That includes even the non-FPS Halo titles. Forget that it doesn’t sound Halo. As someone who listens to the entire Halo soundtracks regularly (Halo: Reach OST, Halo CE classic OST, Halo 2 classic OST, very occasionally the Anniversary OSTs, ODST OST, Halo 3 OST, Halo 4 OST and Halo Wars OST), the Halo 5 soundtrack is utterly forgettable. And don’t even get me started on how they butchered the classic Halo theme (The Trials).

Also, this video is too good not to share. It’s Halo 4 with Halo 3 music. The improvement it makes is astonishing.

Do you mean halo 5 theme song or just music

Did Halo 5 even have a main theme? Nothing sticks out to me as being the primary track. Outside of the times they crap all over the original Halo theme in Halo 5 (Blue Team and The Trials, etc.) everything just sounds the same.

I’m pretty sure they do but the halo 5 theme song is probably little different

I liked some of H5’s tracks but most of them were pretty forgetful to me

I don’t really see how the H5 sound track compares to Marty’s, there’s a big gap that separates the two, furthermore they weren’t even all original, some were remixes of Marty’s work.

I’ve heard they lost their composer so I’m hoping the soundtrack goes in a better direction as I didn’t like anything in H4 or 5. I can listen to Marty’s work in my truck, I have no desire to do the same with whatever H4 and H5 used.

I wish I could agree, but I can’t say that I ever just casually go onto YouTube to listen to any of the newer Halo tracks like I still do with Marty’s original work. Not to say that I hate the Halo 4 and Halo 5 soundtracks, they just don’t make me feel any emotion, and bare nothing memorable for me at all. I appreciate the re-done Halo 5 main menu theme compared to the CE Anniversary/MCC main menu theme due to the harmonic monk chant sounding more similar to Halo 3’s, but aside form that, the soundtracks are just tolerable if anything.

When I think about Halo, the chant is the first thing that my brain emanates. The rocking tracks in H2 follow after and Halo 3’s piano is tied with that. Nothing from 4 or 5 sticks out at all. I actually find the high pitched parts of H5 to be annoying.

The soundtrack of Halo 5 is almost completely forgettable and just awfully repetitive. There is perhaps a few minutes worth of content on it that I actually like, and there’s not a single entire track on it that is great all the way through. There’s some stuff that starts off really great, and some stuff that starts off okay, but then just takes a completly wrong turn and makes a nose dive off the cliff.

There are some concepts on the Halo 5 soundtrack that I think deserve something better, but there’s a not a single piece that I would like to hear in a future Halo game in its entirity.

Marty captured lightning in a bottle with his work. Again, I can’t say that Halo 4 and Halo 5 have bad OSTs, they’re just not memorable to me and feel mostly bland. In my honest opinion, they just don’t hold a candle to that magic Marty brought to the table.

Have you guys listened to this stuff? It’s a little off-topic, but it’s Marty, so it’s still kind of on-topic.
