Please create a separate forum for Ban Complaints

its beginning to jam up H5’s section of waypoint (and seems to be getting worse with each passing day).

thank you

There is another forum, people can use either Halo 5 support forum or the Matchmaking Feedback forum, but while it is annoying I very much doubt that they are going to create a separate forum.

So, complaining on the Waypoint forums about complainers, eh? Lol, just kidding.

I’m fine with another Waypoint section devoted to complaints about the bans. I don’t really care if they make one or not.

Lol, we’re gonna need it soon.

:). I was worried about it coming across that way.

i don’t mind people who voice their opinions about the ban hammer. It just seems to be taking over H5’s and might deserve its own dedicated forum.

on second thought, this would only create additional stress for the mods. They have enough to deal
with.

My fault, it’s a bad idea.

It would be nice… there needs to be a “banned for no reason” thread… They lock every thread some one starts about population and say use the population thread so why can’t they do the same for these “banned” threads. It’s the same every time. Some one cries banned for no reason and it’s pointed out all their dnfs and then they either never post again or claim “disconnects”

Everyday you see someone saying they got banned for no reason, then the first person to reply points out that they have X number of DNF games (5 to 9) within the first few pages of their game history. I guess most people don’t realize that every match’s stats are recorded.

Good grief man don’t complain about the complainers. You know that’s an instalock haha. You may be able to complain about the people complaining about the complainers though, jury is still out.

The community should not respond to those posts. They will roll off in about 6 minutes.

Thanks for reminding me, I’m just gonna put my phone away each time I see one from now on.

Yes, I too will not respond…wait. The actual posts or the posts about the posts?

Technically there kind of already is. It’s called support. If you get banned you shouldn’t whine about it in the forums.

a forum is a place for people to come and voice their complaints. thats what the forum is made for, to solve problems after acknowledging them. it could be xbox live problems, or even issues with the games themselves. if you dont like complainers then dont come to a forum to critique a game. thats what a forum is about! people talking about a game. more often than not that means talking about what tehy dont like so it can be improved upon, or why else are we on 343’s forums!?!?!

that being said, to be more on topic, i think its hilarious when people complain about getting banned. most of the time they are quitting or going AFK anyway, so they deserve it. its almost a way for the community to call them out for complaining about something they deserve, and then you dont hear from them again.

I mean really, all anyone is doing by complaining about getting banned is asking others to check their history to see if theyve been quitting. almost every one quits and deserves to be banned, very few get banned for no reason. i say let them keep doing it, its hilarious.

example was one guy earlier saying he got banned after winning a game. truth was he had over 12dnfs in one week. lol

Ha. I dig your sense of humor my man!

It’s good that as a community we’re thinking about ways to help everyone out and while this could be a good idea, you’re right that it just becomes and extra forum for the monitors to… um… monitor :stuck_out_tongue:

Perhaps, similar to the long running thread we have in the Halo Reach forum, we could have a sticky topic in Halo 5 support. Something that details out the most common reasons for bans, ways to check if you’re banned / how to tell what you have left to go? It would be at least somewhere to refer people to, a central location.A lot of people tend to post first and research later, so they might not know how the system works and just want answers.

I’m not 100% on just not responding to post about bans - I have seen some interesting topics over the last few weeks, one where a player was banned before he had even played a single match. Things like these need to be looked into. It can be helpful to respond as well, as long as we are careful how we go about it. “Don’t quit you baby” isn’t going to help a situation, but explaining to the OP about their history and how the ban system works generally should. Don’t fight anger with sarcasm
