As important as player customization is, Halo Infinite is a competitive multiplayer experience which requires quick decision making. The longer it takes to identify something, the bigger the disadvantage.
If all you need is a red outline then great. But I’ve shot friendlies and hesitated to shoot enemies too many times. For accessibility reasons, Halo Infinite needs a red vs blue toggle. Until then, I can’t play a game I enjoy without being a potential liability to my team. It’s one of the reasons I don’t play other multiplayer games.
Finally, while I’ve been recommended yellow as an enemy outline color, that won’t work for me due to how my brain works. It’s up to you whether or not you believe what I just said.
Thank you for reading.

I would have had red vs blue switched on from day 1. I can’t stand the outlines.
You are absolutely right and I even think that the developers share your opinion, but I think the biggest problem is, that it is very difficult to implement it into the game and make it 100% reliable since the beginning (which is very important, because no enemy should be considered as a m8 anytime).
When I go to theatre and watch my replays, I see, that very often my enemies were blue, my teammates red and sometimes yellow. I do not know if it is a general problem or theatre only.
You see with the recent updates, that most basic features take time until season 2 to be fixed (I do not mean B2B, but the position of cosmetics etc.), so the UI might be more difficult to handle and the game is more ducktaped than we already realized.
So all in all, I think the developers are aware of this feature, but it is too difficult to implement it with a needed reliability of 100%. Which is sad, because it means, that it might never come into is game or very late. Maybe with forge when custom games will become extended…
