They (MS) said that it was a 14 day trial to cover their butts for the potential HUGE loss on giving it out for free.

Anyone who is not an idiot knows its all a lie and cover up. Didnt 343 agree that it was a trial or something or that they knew it was free before it happened?. How can a community of gamers trust liars and take their word for anything.

no there was nothing that promted you, specifying whether it was demo material, or a 14 day trial
The 14 day deal was play Halo 4 online anytime from launch to November 20(14days).
I downloaded it and it actually charged me the 800msp for it… i have no clue how people got it for free

Then you do not have to worry about losing it when the “trial” is over with. 
their “14 day trial” excuse is only that, an excuse. they messed up and this is just a cover up. now people even with the season pass have to pay
People with the Season Pass or LE Season Pass do not have to pay, grow up and quit your lies.
The trial is for people with the Standard Edition of the game or those who have not purchased or can not purchase the Season Pass right now, it was a chance to see if they want to pay to get the Map Pack.
You do not need the Map Pack to play any Playlist, besides the actual DLC Playlist.
If you do however have the DLC, then the Map’s also show up in the other Playlists.
It is a profit for those who dont have the means to buy the DLC right now, quit making a big deal out of it and move on.

What?
People with the season pass don’t have to pay - they download it from within the Halo 4 menu for free.
If they paid to download it from marketplace as well that’s their mistake - it clearly says not to do that as you’ll effectively be paying for it twice.
