I know what you will do for the Halo 2 remake’s multiplayer.
You are thinking that you are going to make the multiplayer just maps for Halo 4, just like you did with Halo Anniversary. You are thinking that it sold fine that way, and this is most likely the way people prefer it.
For me, and I hope others, it isn’t.
I want Halo 2 with updated graphics. Not Halo 2’s campaign with upgraded graphics and maps for the newest Halo. I want to try and re-experience those moments I had in Halo 2 multiplayer now that the online is cut off. This would be the best gift you could give me.
Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the maps that were added to Reach, but honestly, I would rather new classics than old ones. I would love all of your map packs to be completely new maps.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Halo 4, but the lack of original Halo playlists or options is really getting me in the mood for a classic match.
Does anyone else feel this way?
(And sorry if you don’t think this connects with Halo 4, I thought it did

I don’t care as long as I don’t have to put up with loadouts, perks and killstreak BS. I would love to play a release of an HD Halo 2, and I know a lot of my friends feel the same way.

Well ya, that is basically updating Halo 2 multiplayer’s graphics. Although, I doubt they can make the graphics as good as Halo 4.
Hell, I don’t even care about the graphics! It’s a plus, and I would be shocked if they didn’t update them, but I would pay for Halo 2 to have online support again! I just want to have that classic experience in an online setting.
I doubt 343 would waste their time remaking an entire games campaign and multiplayer.
We already have 3 Halo games with matchmaking still up and running. There is no need for a 4th one. That would just spread and divide the community even more than it already is.
If they do ever make a Halo 2 Anniversary game, which wouldn’t be any time soon, I would prefer they made maps for Halo 4. The ones they remade for Reach with Halo CE Anniversary were incredible.

I’m a huge Halo 2 fan(It’s my favorite Halo game). I would still rather see Halo 2 maps in Halo 4. 343 kinda has the right idea about not wanting to fragment the community. I would like a Halo 2 multiplayer for XBLA. Their is only one way I would like it though… I would like Halo 2 multiplayer Arcade to be free with the next Xbox console. It would be nice to know that every single person that owns the next Xbox would also own classic Halo 2 multiplayer. It would be a great selling point and it would keep the Halo 2 population high and steady.

Oh no, I totally understand. I was just giving my two cents. If a Halo 2 remake were to be made, you can bet that I’ll have a list for 343 within the hour.

God I wish they would, it give me a reason to burry my halo 4 game. Halo 2 is brilliant but just wish I didn’t have to turn pc on to be able to play with others for it now since loved playing it on the 360 before they pulled the servers down.
I never got to play Halo 2 Multiplayer because I never opted to join Xbox Live and none of my friends had an Xbox, but I did read Game Magazines and the current reviews and message boards about Halo 2 when it was up and running. SO with that said you have no idea how much I hope the Halo 2 players get their beloved maps and game back. Even with the most horrible ending ever.
I’ve never seen a H2 player complain or bad mouth any new game. They are really the true Spartan 1s, all they ever wanted was for the servers to be turned back on. You guys are a class act.

They could only make it work in halo 4 with a major TU to add all the classic elements back, if they do that then im fine with it but as halo 4 sits right now it wouldnt do halo 2 justice.

I’d have to disagree. The maps from Halo 2 that were remade for Halo Reach were absolutely amazing in Reach. I’m pretty sure the same would go for maps that would be remade for Halo 4 if Halo 2 were to be remade.

Quite a bit of the hate for Halo 4 is coming from Halo 2 players. They are nothing special.

Im not saying the maps wouldnt be, Im saying the core mechanics of classic gameplay would have to be changed for example disabling sprint which cant be done right now.

Trust me, buddy, those players look at Halo 2 through the glassy film of nostalgia. Halo 2 was a great game, but it was nowhere near the idyllic golden game that Halo players make it out to be.
Oh, the manly tears that would be shed if 343i remade H2 with it’s multiplayer intact. Though they certainly wont, because I for one, and I’m sure I’m not the only one, would never buy H5 or H6.
