Please clearly indicate TU Playlists

Please could something be added to the playlist descriptions in-game that indicates whether they are running on TU settings? A short message below the description but above the player count “*Title update settings” would be sufficient.

It would help if myself and others could see which lists are running on what settings at a glance, as quite a few have now made the switch. Thanks.

Yes, this would probably be a good idea. Other forum users have suggested creating an entirely separate category. I.e.

Competitive

  • Team Slayer,
  • Living Dead,
  • Squad DLC
  • etc.

Title Update

  • Squad Slayer,
  • Big Team Battle
  • etc.

Agreed, it should be in my opinion,

Vanilla Playlists

  • Team Slayer
  • Living Dead
  • Squad DLC

TU Playlists

  • Big Team Battle
  • Squad Slayer

Anniversary Playlists

  • Anniversary Squad
  • Anniversary Classic
  • Anniversary Big Team Battle
  • Anniversary Firefight
  • Anniversary (Forgot its name)

TU Beta

  • Zero Bloom Slayer

Would be a lot simpler, possibly in the descriptions of the Playlist Hoppers, to say what the difference are for TU, Vanilla, Beta and Anniversary.

That’s great feedback. I don’t know what the chances are of this happening (due to potential character limits), but I’ll pass it along.

While I have some of you here, are you finding it easier to recognize the TU game types once you’re in a playlist? We’ve been working hard to clearly identify them, so I’m curious if it’s working.

I’ve been asked a few times in-games what TU means, I explained it to them and they understand, give it a month of two and many people will understand it, it works as far as I can see.

Yup, Angel. I myself find it easy to identify what gametypes are what. The letters TU give it away, haha. I also have had some people ask me what TU means though, I’ve explained. They get it.

I still laugh to this day that Rocket Race in Multi Team is called TU R. Hog Race.

Why you no post more, Tom?

I think in terms of Matchmaking things are pretty clear, since we know each playlist has the updated settings of either Vanilla, TU, or whatever. However, for personal use (custom games), things are still a little behind. Version numbers in the descriptions would be very helpful, especially for the maps in Matchmaking, like Bungie did. Right now we have updated versions of most of the DLC maps in Matchmaking, but there’s no way to tell which ones are the most current without loading them up and searching around. Since there’s been a couple of changes to the TU gametypes as well, version numbers would be great for that, since that’s even more difficult to discern.

Well im glad you agree, this is what i wanted from the beginning, except most vanilla lists stay vanilla and TU section gets some new stuff instead.

YES, Tons easier, THANK YOU, and Thank whomever made that happen.

Not trying to hijack the topic here but I just made this one: A solution to the TU & Vanilla confusion.

This pretty much solves the problem as a whole.

I just don’t see why they don’t just have all the playlists in Tu,Vanilla, classic, and beta.

Then even can play at the settings they like in the playlist they like. I’m a fan of classic Reach and I don’t want to be boxed into what I can and can’t play. I’m sure Tu fans will agree on that much too.

Except we would have WAY to many playlists, well over the limit.
