The Ravager has been nerfed, and it’s not good.
Right now the Ravager’s nearly non-existent splash damage takes a full 11 shots to kill or 89% of the battery. Aside from this being as bad as a plasma pistol, it completely goes against it’s design language. Every thing about the Ravager says “Explosive”. From the sound it makes to the size of the gun. It leaves pools of plasma that splash all over the place, but right now that means nothing.
It can still get a 3 shot body kill if every hit lands.
The alt-fire is not capable of killing. However, it can bring many full-health spartans to about 15% health.
The Ravager’s blade does give it increased melee damage and can combo into a body shot for a Mangler-esque kill.
Verdict? Bring back the splash damage. Its primary fire is nearly useless. It’s not a Plasma Pistol.
