Please buff pulse carbine oh my god

I have been trying for three days straight to complete a 3 carbine kill challenge, but it just won’t kill anyone. I and hit most of my shots with it too, but it has the bloody damage of a -Yoink!- airsoft gun that shoots actual blueberrys, i have two out of three kills and it just won’t kill anyone. I have lost EVERY gun fight with it. Also, fire the -Yoink!- who designed that piece of crap in the first place. I’m about to #### a brick i swear to god

It’s a bad challenge. The gun isn’t designed for killing.

It is brilliant at what it does though. I will drop my AR 10 times out of 10 for the Carbine.

They need to buff the red reticle range by 30% and pulse speed by 7% to make it viable in big team battle.

or AT LEAST BUFF THE DAMAGE OF THE PLASMA PISTOL SHOTS, so than gun actually has function other than the overcharge burst

Oh and the lightning rifle feels like a worse version of the Beam Rifle made redundant by the Disrupter electric effect

Once the shield is cracked it’s dog water. You may need to get a friend to queue into the same FFA match as you who doesn’t mind helping you out.

So many weapons in Infinite feel useless, weak or forgettable.

I only ever use the BR, AR, Sidekick, Stalker Rifle, Heatwave, Skewer and occasionally the disruptor and mangler.

Commando sucks.
Pulse Carbine is good but only viable close range.
Ravager is Useless
Shotty is weak af
Cindershot is too unpredictable
Lightning rifle is slow and weirld feeling

I’d say the Commando is way worse, cause at least the pulse cracks shields fast.

The commando recoil, low mag size and inability to be used effectively close up makes it worse.

The SAW from Halo 4 was wayyyy better

As stated before, the gun really isn’t meant for killing people unless you hit that sweet spot on the range but usually people use it to quickly fire a burst to weaken/take out shields and then pop 'em with another weapon, typically the Sidekick. So it does make Challenges to get kills with it rather annoying but I never found it to be too difficult.

When it comes to getting kills with weapons, my go-to game mode tends to be BTB. You end up getting a lot of opportunities to catch people and kill them with any weapon, in my experience. Pulse Carbine included.

The Commando remains a good replacement for the Sidekick at medium-long range. I find tapping the trigger at range to be the most effective way to use it and my opinion has turned around for it. A good weapon to carry around and, if you’re lucky/skilled and land your shots at close range, you can ride the recoil for the quick headshot.

Ravager remains very weak, very niche. Might get some use out of an objective game like Total Control or Oddball where people will be clustered together and you can land a Charged Shot but that’s it for me so kind of difficult to justify going out of your way to grab it and carry around regularly.

Love the Bulldog. You want to drop the mindset of the old shotguns and treat it as a more gunfighty shotgun. I love it.

Cindershot remains a bit unpredictable but still a deadly weapon when you start to get a handle of it.

Shock Rifle can absolutely obliterate people if you get the feel of landing those Perfect headshots properly.

No, the exact opposite, at medium to long range is where it’s designed to be used and where it’ll home.

This is the problem, people associate the new weapons with the old.

This isn’t a storm rifle, it’s for med to long and it’ll track at those distances.

The ravager isn’t an incinerator, it’s a multi player EMP and melee to burst.

The shock rifle isn’t a sniper, it’s designed to have 3 separate shots to promote not swiping/flick shots hence the perfect medal not sniper medal.

The disruptor gets criticised but it does more than a plasma pistol - it doesn’t need charging, you can fire around corners by shooting weapons on the floor, you can EMP then headshot with a different weapon or melee and headshot with it.

So many of these weapons are being criticised because people think they are similar to a previous weapon and they are not.

Burst fire and it’s fine (but it should not be on a weapon rack for one team if the other has BR).

It fires fast and at a much further distance than previous shotties. The idea is it’s a 2 or 3 shot so you can fire 3 shots fast not one body shot. It’s not a campy shotty, it’s a rush shotty.

The old shotty should return but alongside, it’s a different weapon design entirely.

Trust me bro, it is - use it long range, you’ll obliterate BRs.

Was testing it out in customs yesterday. It needs 4 full bursts to kill. It overheats in 5…

Can kill in two bursts if you land all the shots and the last one takes the head, but that is where the main trickiness is.

It’s really all about that sweet spot at the longer ranges and BTB provides the best opportunities for success in my experience.

I’m not saying it’s rubbish or anything but I don’t feel, without phenomenally lucky shots, it’s going to beat the BR.

I will always pick it up and drop shields with it though. Same as the plasma pistol. Makes gunfights much easier.

Admittedly I’m exaggerating when I say long range. I mean Bazaar bridge to bridge kind of distance. But you’re right, it and quite a few of the weapons are good for combos close up.

I beat the challenge, now im trying to do the killjoy one…ugh
