Please bring back the Hayabusa and Katana armor

Hayabusa is, in my opinion, the best armor set in any Halo especially with the Katana chest piece. Please add it to Halo 5.

Won’t happen unless 343 negotiates a deal with Team Ninja. Which I doubt they will.

Well at the very least bring back the katana chest piece. Theres no copyright on that.

None of the Hayabusa Armor will be returning to Halo unfortunately. The Armor helmet, chestplate, and Katana are designed off of Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden character Ryu Hayabusa. The Hayabusa Armor was allowed in Halo 3 due to a deal Bungie made with Team Ninja to have Hayabusa armor in Halo 3. Also in Halo 3’s credits, Team Ninja is mentioned. Team Ninja in turn was allowed to add in a custom Spartan into Dead or Alive 4, Spartan-II Nicole-458. She is canon in the Halo universe, but not in the Dead or Alive universe, meaning she was added for fun factor as part of the deal.

You can google this if you like. The Katana itself is part of the Hayabusa armor, which is why a new Katana would have to be created if 343i created such a weapon again for armor unless they would make a deal again with Team Ninja. Certain Affinity actually created Hayabusa Armor for Halo 4, but the Armor was never added to the game, which led to alot of speculation including that 343i couldn’t strike up a deal with them for that to happen again.

This is also probably the reason why 343i made Shinobi Armor for Halo 5 as well.

Nicole is not actually Canon in the Halo universe either. Non-canon Spartan IIs are easily identified by their call tags. Any Spartan II with a call tag higher than 150 are not canon characters. Prime examples are Nicole 458, and Spartan 1337 from the Halo Legends episode Odd One Out.

Wetwork is another armor that a lot of people compare to Hayabusa as a replacement, though in lore Wetwork armour is actually based off of the Covenant Elite Combat armour from Halo 3, as was mentioned in the description of the Contoured arms and legs in Halo 4. (Contoured is a part of the wetwork set, as evidenced by the fact that it rather uniquely directly shared the SHRD(Shard) skin with Wetwork in Halo 4, and was used as the arms and legs for Wetwork armour in both Master Chief Collection and Halo 5). Once you know Wetwork is based off of the Elite combat set, it’s pretty clear when you see the two side by side.

i really hope that they bring it back i miss them so much rip hayabusa

I hate that armor. Glad it wont ever come back.

High five for shared opinions! Lol. Hayabusa has personally been my least favorite armor so far.
