No grenades is a disadvantage? No offense, but if you’re good, you don’t need to rely on grenades, especially when you can 3 shot people in far close range, and hit targets at medium range.

That’s the drawback of dual wielding. I don’t know why you need to be able to kill enemies any sooner with a PISTOL.
That’s odd, I thought the community liked skilled weapons. Oh wait, that’s right, they like overpowered weapons that are easy to get kills with and then like to think take skill.

Maybe if everyone didn’t pick BRs all the time. You know, the overpowered noob weapon that everyone thinks takes skill simply because it kills fast easily at many ranges and pretty much beats all other weapons.
It’s pretty much a tank. And as we all know: Tank beats everything!

You just made the Halo 3 Magnum easily dominate every weapon in its range. And forget about life when it is dual wielded.
Only because of no dual wielding, the only bloom that works, and no bleed through melee. I still don’t care for it. If we were to return Halo to Halo, Halo: Reach’s pistol would be an abomination. Insanely fast fire speed, two shot dual wielding kills, shoot twice + beat down, etc.
you guys are putting waaaay too much thought on the Halo 3 Pistol. You make it sound as if using it properly means you deserve a medal of honor or something. There’s not much science in using the H3 pistol. You say you just cant simply run around and shoot it like the BR, when I disagree and say you can, hell thats how I get kills with it. I run and gun with it and get many kills but I dont save the game or make a big deal about it.
I noticed that the games he listed as proof with the Magnum kills are simple games with people who are average players. If you really want to impress gamers lets see you get 15 kills on MLG Playlist againts legit MLG 45’s-50’s.
Still bringing back the H3 pistol is the worst idea for Halo 4. the only Pistol to rival the fable Halo:CE Pistol is the Zero Bloom TU-Reach Pistol. The only good thing the Halo2 pistol had was speed, yet I used that pistol waaay more then the Halo 3 pistol which shoots the slowest and has the worst registration of all pistols.
Fun is key here, and using the Halo 3 pistol is the most boring not the most difficult. That’s the only reason I dont use it on H3, I get no satisfaction killing an opponent with a Magnum, I just yawn and switch to a rifle or sniper.
Damn I should of saved the game when Citadel was released. I got like 21 kills, 18 with the Magnum but nobody cared so I didn’t save. Now I see this guy post proof with like 8 or 12 kills like if its something to be proud of?! Not hating on you bro but getting Pistol kills on H3 isn’t really a big deal…sorry!
