I -Yoinking!- hated the Halo 3 Pistol, slow, ineffective and overall a completely useless weapon.

Have you tried using it more than once? How about in a smart way? Did you use it in a way that it wasn’t meant to be used? Or was it just not your type of weapon?
Perhaps a good mix of the odst pistol and the halo 3 magnum?

The only change that I would like is for two more bullets per mag.

That’s actually why I never used it. I hate the way it feels like. So slow…
meh. Anything the H3 magnum can do, you can always find a better weapon that can more than outdo it. Sure, it was a decent standby, but nothing that can drastically tip the fight in your favour.

This. You want a weapon that will destroy other weapons in it’s area of effectiveness.
A Sword should be able to OBLITERATE all weapons should a Sword guy be in range, unless the guy has a Shotgun or has another power weapon. The whole introduction of melee clash from your fist defeats the purpose of the Sword.
There was no situation that the Halo 3 Magnum would beat any other weapons. In close range the SMG would destroy it. In medium range the BR would destroy it… You then can’t say “well a Pistol vs AR in medium range” because that’s like saying “well a Pistol vs a guy with no weapon in medium range” …
Why is this thread still alive? The Halo 3 Magnum was the most worthless piece of garbage next to the Halo 3 Spiker and the Halo 2 Pistol…

Sure there is. Come play 50 high slayer with me and see how many kills you can get with the pistol. I will too. If it is not a useless weapon you should be able to at least get a few kills.

The pistol can be “useful” against noobs, but it isn’t against anyone good. And a BR would allow you to do much better in any situation you use your pistol.

I am going to be on your team. We will go into team slayer together and face 50’s who actually know what they are doing. Then you can see how useful your pistol is. Anf for another point of reference I will use it too.
