Please, bring back the animated assassinations 🥷🏽🥷🏽🥷🏽 (Especially for campaign)

The real reason they were taken out in the first place was to monetize them later on.

If they are willing to make coatings and visor colors exclusive to some armor cores, why wouldn’t they do the same for assassinations? Lets just sell them individually, and create some of them exclusive to some armor cores.

I don’t like where this is going, but I sure can see where it is heading towards.

So you want to bring back a feature that is designed to rub salt in people wounds? They can do this, but I want a way to turn it off and not see it at all even if other players are using it. It’s a horrible and degrading feature of games.

I like that people are saying it should be toggled on or off…like dude ever since reach, you never needed to do the Assassination animation. just tap the melee button and they are dead. Has never been a thing that you need to do it. you as a player decide if you wanna go trough a long animation to get a kill or a quick hit from behind.

Getting a nice assassination would often be the highlight of a match back in reach. Show stopping someone and saving my teammates life spawned a friendship after that.

I’d love to see them make a return.

No, its against the spirit of Halo which I assume you never played until now.

Technically you can do something cool with the grappleshot in the Campaign when you harpoon towards an enemy you can hold the melee button down and Master Chief does a hard punch animation! Pretty cool!

let me correct this for you

I’m hoping that Assassination medals will be worth more points, so that doing them is a more dangerous flex than back smacks, for more BP XP if the BP XP system gets changed to earn based on medals. I know that 343 will 100% try to sell all the assassination animations from 5 for like $10 each or something, and I would buy one, because I loved assassinations in Reach, 4 and 5. I just want them to be an option like holding the melee button to extend a back smack into an assassination, so you can choose to not do it.

If that’s your line of thinking, you need to figure yourself out. Not sure what happened to give everyone the impression that every studio/company is sly and scummy. You’re sick in the head bud

there were tons of animations already in Halo 5, so how difficult exactly would it be for them to port them over to Infinite? 6 years isn’t enough time?

They are probably still thinking about roadmap (what they are going to do with Infinite for the first year, maybe second) and they aren’t certain where assassinations fit in.

expect a lot of them to be behind paywall/battle pass, that is all I’ll say on the matter.

You say that like bringing content to Halo Infinite is as simple as copy and paste, which says alot about your knowledge of the subject.
Of course most of them are going to be in the Battlepass or store, that’s how it works. In case you forgot, the rest of the game is free. I think I can afford $5 for an assassination that I chose to buy.
343 already explained exactly why assassinations aren’t in the game. If you believe they’re lying, that’s your own problem and 100% your fault for being ignorant.

It is not ignorance to assume nefarious activity surrounding this subject is to be expected. ESPECIALLY with what 343 has done in the past with 4 & 5, AND with Infinite right now and the debacle with the exp (which is now fixed), the armor cores and all its components specific to that core (like helmets etc which can be bought from the shop) and emblems on the store. Thus, it is not ignorance to assume that there may be a slight bending on the truth, because it is something we are very familiar with.
What I say is ‘go hard or go home’. That is the only thing that works in this day and age. That is how we got 343 to abort the tragic direction that Halo 4 & 5 was going in, that is how we got them make the game far better than what was shown last year and that is how we got them to fix the terrible EXP system of the battle pass in Infinite. We - the diehard fans - is how you get change you want.

You are also already submitting to buy a $5 assassination that does not exist yet. The crazy thing is, so would I. That is only a testament to how much we and everyone else love that feature. They know this. And because of that, it is easy to accept that they are just holding back to use this as a monetary gain. No one cares about an article saying xyz if we have not got what we wanted. We want assassinations now!

There coming back to fill up the monetization store. $20 to kill someone with style.
