Please Be Patient

I will give them a chance, but you got to ask this question. Why they didn’t add the ability to enable/disable cross-play at the very beginning of the development?

I want to know what bulls#!t excuse they will pull on this.

Nah, I’m tired of being patient. I’m tired of games releasing “early” or in “beta” and I’m tired of new games being incomplete garbage and the entire F2P movement is just absolute trash and has ruined gaming.

This is false, Halo Reach has credits you could earn by simply just playing the game.

Right, a $60 paywall. At least I assume that is what @Deaths_Shadow74 was referring to.

I assume the pay wall in previous Halos you speak of is the $60 it cost to buy them, and to be fair, that is a heck of a lot cheaper than what it would cost me for equal customization options in Infinite.

Also, those games didn’t need new game types because they shipped with them as part of that original $60 we paid.

Finally, this all comes down to bad management on 343s part. Don’t release a game that is broken and unfinished, which they have admitted to, without a plan to support it. The holiday season comes this time every year so they should have had a plan to work around it instead of full stop. Don’t let them off the hook so easily. It’s a bad trend in gaming that really needs to stop.

What he stated is not true at all, and to use purchasing a game at its sale cost is actually unreasonable to even use knowing it was a full-priced game, and Infinite is not a (true f2p game) that 99% of cosmetics are locked behind the shop/BP.

Which by the way 343 lied about how customization would work on day 1.

True, they somehow got worse at that aspect

Listening to all the keyboard warriors - old and new. Bark precariously into the 3 week abyss over Xmas has been entertaining.

Looking forward to 343s reaction and the re action from the player base over the next few weeks!!!

Good stuff everybody - it’s been marvellous!

I hope it makes a good documentary one day!

i look forward to the changes and have been enjoying the game. However I still feel they put way too much into an open campaign and not enough into finished multiplayer product. I am looking forward to when the multiplayer gets better, but its feels like it is in beta still. Like i can’t even make my own custom zombie games for my birthday etc.

I also don’t think that this rough start doomed this game in any way.

The ugly truth is:
It’s just one game in a long list of high promising titles which were quite disappointing on release.

But the truth is also:
Some games really turned out very well after developers out some hard work in them.

Which doesn’t mean that it’s not super annoying this way…

Anyways: I’m looking forward to the state of this game in 3/6/9/12 months.

Anybody playing this game has already been patient because it took six years to come out.

I think the issue is that they had months to work on and polish off these problems and it seems as if they spent most of this time THINKING themselves into a hole instead of trying things and seeing what works.

i just want a blog post or something that is telling us what their main focus with be on. Do they hear everything we are saying or are they just waiting for the negative feedback to die down so they can start adding random things.

I just want a complete game, this is the first halo game that doesnt give me the drive to play it. Its insane that we waited 6yrs for this game and its lacking so much content that was a given in past halo games.

Also saying “its free” doesnt change the fact that it was rushed and needs way more “expected” content that every halo before it had. If ppl are ok with them removing core features/items or modes to then put behind a paywall then thats the sad part.

I just want to be excited to play, when they fix it will it be to late since most of the early adopters wont come back since its been to long? idk

“Laid the foundation” happens in years 1-3, not literally months after release. Please, take the boot out of your mouth.

There really isn’t plenty to play in Infinite.

It’s not the model change.
It’s the bugs, lack of content and high prices.

Big Team Battle.
Custom games.
Vehicles.
Menus.
Actions before dying disappearing.

A lot of games launched with more content, including games in the Halo series.

The paywall for cosmetics was a lot cheaper.
Also, they did get post-launch content besides maps, such as playlists.

That’s the DLC.

The campaigns have always been a big part of Halo.
Unfortunately though understandably, not enough went into the campaign or multiplayer.

It’s not about patience. The game is in development for years and still shipped missing MANY features that a predecessor had in 2007… It’s 14 years ago.

That predecessor was also a very small game in comparison to what Infinite is and will be
