There are alot of things many Halo players want right now. Some changes to armor customization, more modes, more ranked, a BTB fix, career progression, store price changes.
I’ve seen many of you symbollicaly roll your eyes at the excuse of “343 is on Holiday vacation” but that’s the legitimate reason. 343 told us before the holidays that they would be taking a break and pumping out updates after the new year, so don’t act surprised when there haven’t been any major updates during the holidays.
Also, please keep in mind that larger changes will take more time to implement. Things like more ranked playlists, store changes, BTB fix will be things that can be quickly remedied. Anything involving changing the customization system, adding an entirely new xp system in the form of career progression, new maps and such are things that will take a long time to code, test, debug and test again and then release. Some changes will take longer than others but don’t expect any updates or community outreach until at least January 15th.
And look, guys, most of us are here because we all love Halo. Some of us are here because we dislike the franchise and wish we were 12 again but still. Just be patient with 343, know that they hear you and are working to get this stuff out to you asap. If they could do it all in a day they would. And yeah, you could make the complaint that “it should’ve been fixed before launch” or “It shouldn’t have launched like this” and to this I say, yeah for sure. I’m not denying that the things that need to be fixed are mistakes, but the mistakes have been apologized for and fixes are coming starting soon. So chill out
Y’all sound like broken records. That kind of stress is bad for you, fam.

Game is amazing! Game modes and maps are coming and will be free! I don’t understand all the hate when there is plenty to play already.

I think one of the big issues is that, on top of the things that I agree do need tweaking, alot of players aren’t being reasonable with 343 as far as updates go, and I see them often times comparing Halo Infinite’s content to games that have been out for years. I think they just forget what it’s like to play a new live-service game.

I love having all the good cosmetics behind a paywall, that’s how I love my games

I bought a pack of Oreos for my sweet skin. Definitely better and cheaper than paying for map packs. Just imagine all the maps and game modes we will be getting for free over the years

If you don’t understand the “hate” then that’s another problem in itself.

You sure dlc will be free?

I understand people hating on the model change for Halo but it’s a step the game needed to take to stay relevant and no different than any other f2p model. Other than that

Maps and modes will surely be free. What makes you think differently?

All the cosmetics in Halo 3 and Halo Reach were locked behind a paywall too, to be fair, plus those games didn’t get any post-launch content besides maps.
Of course the DLC is going to be free. The only thing I can imagine we’d have to pay for are the future Campaigns.
I also wish people would stop taking a dump on 343 for releasing this game in its unfinished state instead of delaying it a year. Microsoft has the ultimate power in setting the deadlines, not 343. So if anyone is mad about the game being unfinished, direct your anger at the ones who are actually guilty; the producers.
But the truly better option is to just accept reality and be patient.

yeah, and Microsoft gave them a super soft deadline of 6 years. That is an inordinate amount of time for a game development company. Obviously they had an issue with feature creep but regardless lets not pretend that 343i are small company and weren’t given enough resources by corporate overlord Microsoft to make a videogame.

From the title alone… no!

Incorrect, those came with the game.
do not confuse an XP currency (Reach’s Credits) for an actual Micro-transaction currency when making such comparisons.
as for Halo 3, no it really wasn’t. you had to do specific things to earn the armour.
