Ok so, I love Halo. I love the universe. I love the games, books and everything else. However, with Halo 5 coming out, there are some things that look really cool! But, there are a couple things im on the edge about.
For example, all these new guns with attachments. An AR with a scope/ bayonet. Its cool…but im on the edge of I do and dont like it.
Also, the new campaign teaser. Thing is…it looks like its so scripted. And it seems there’s alot of dialogue involved.
The new forerunner enemies also have me on the edge. On the image I saw there are three types of them. The three at the back look awesome in my opinion. However, the white one at the front looked like it could be from destiny. It looked kinda generic.

1.) The new attachments are a feature that will only be included in warzone which is a non competitive mode for people that just want to chill and have fun.
2.) Of course it’s scripted, it’s an e3 demo. Halo 4’s demo was scripted and somehow people didn’t understand that that was an e3 demo as well. 343 have already said that the final level will be more open to take multiple routes and have different encounters.
3.) At this day and age it seems like absolutely no game is safe from naysayers claiming the developers are unoriginal by taking inspiration from other games. In fact why is it so bad to take inspiration from other games for that matter? Every form of art and entertainment has taken some inspiration from one person to another.
4.) Halo 5 is miles better than Halo 4 so you have nothing to worry about.

You haven’t played the game. You have no idea how it works. They don’t have to ‘recode’ things like that, they can REMOVE it if it’s that bad. You need to realize that your bickering and complaining isn’t going to force them to do anything, you’re only perpetuating the spamming of these boards. Allow more information to come out, or better yet, have the GAME come out before you immediately bash it to form to YOUR view on how Halo should work. You’re nothing special. Nor am I. It’s a community of Halo players. Allow them to bestow upon us ALL their vision before you bash it.

It’s far from being an issue with just gaming, it’s seen in all types of media.
The problem is everything is constantly being rehashed to the point you see the same ideas over and over. Then there are ideas which, even if not original, are still unique from the norm and see very little exposure, which I find very depressing.
I don’t care if a 1920’s-style horror flick released in 2015 didn’t invent that style. What I care about is that it’s a refreshing change from the over saturation of gore and slasher films, and that a new generation will get to experience something new to them.
Also, while true that art is often derivative, it’s not always derivative. Brand new ideas do happen.

My point is that you complaining without actually PLAYING the game is why YOUR choice of posting this is iffy. I understand your skepticism, sometimes when things change it can be a little daunting especially if you’re a long time fan that loves everything Halo. As someone who has played it and watched it extensively (including this week’s warzone coverage) as well as following developer interviews and the like, I think it’s safe to say that 343 is on the right track and I have every reason to believe Halo 5 will be a better game overall than Halo 4. A renewed focus on competitive play, a sprawling/more open campaign, dedicated servers, free map DLC, and the addition of a fun and chaotic new multiplayer mode that appeals to everyone, not just the hardcore crowd, is a strong recipe for success.
