Please Allow Spartan Tags Less Than 4 Characters

Hello Everyone,

I’ve been a massive fan of the Halo franchise since ODST, and I’ve sunk countless hours into all of the games in the series. One tradition I like to carry on with each new release is using my original Halo 3 tag, Y23. When I first booted up the multiplayer, I went to change my tag only to discover I need to have at least 4 characters. I realize this is a really small nitpick, but I would like to continue using that tag, and it seems like a pretty easy thing to fix. As you can see from my account, I don’t do a lot of posting in forums, but I do enjoy reading through the Waypoint forums every so often. I guess this is finally a motivation to post!

How does everyone else feel about this? Has anyone else carried this on through the games as well?

(I have a terrible gamertag and i’m proud!)

Agreed I’ve been using the same tag since Halo 3 really bugs me I have to change it

Mine has always been 1221, but yeah, that dumb that it has to be EXACTLY 4 characters… reminds me of my clever frat bro who would make a profile that was simple " " and ghost all over the map…kinda lol.

1313 here, but yea that is super dumb.

I’ve heard alot of people are upset over this. I can see why, if it’s something you’ve had forever you want to keep it, kinda like a good luck charm almost. There should just be a maximum character not minimum.
