Please allow more than 2 teams in HW2!

Preferably, I’d like to see a system where you can forge and break alliances much like you could do in Age of Empires or Empire Earth. I hope we can have more than 2 teams, because it could potentially open the gates for something like this (link goes to another thread).

I don’t know about the diplomacy thing, but I’d definitely like to see 2v2v2 or 3v3v3 game modes.

Or 4-way, 5-way or 6-way modes, so you could have, for example, UNSC vs Covenant vs Flood vs Forerunners. But yes, I’d also like to see three-team games. Additionally, I’d like a way to set up teams with varying sizes, so you could have 3v2v1 if you wanted.

That would be awesome.

2v2v2 That would he horrible. Have you ever played Love wolf in H3?
You fight against 1 Enemy Player and you win but after the battle you are weak and another player can kill you without any effort. In a fps game you would respawn but in a rts Game you arme out.

If you have a good strategy, you don’t have to worry about another player picking you off in a triple threat situation or any other multi-team game.

In Halo Wars 2, I propose the Idea of having more than 2 factions to play as. perhaps UNSC/Covenant/Forerunner/Flood/Insurrection/Swords all as playable factions?

I agree with the general idea of a 1v1v1,2v2v2,3v3v3 but I don’t agree with anymore teams. As well no diplomacy, Halo Wars is simply a war RTS game, espically that level of complexity on console isn’t good for gameplay. Halo Wars was succesful due to its simplicity amd easy to use controls.

Swords would basically be pointless, it would be the same units as covenant. I think this will still be before ce anyway, so they wont exist.

I think each player would be scared to attack an enemy, because he could get attacked during his attack.
And what would happen?
Correct, each player would build a castle around his base.

Id like to see a 2v2 or 3v3 but have a third team only as the flood who isn’t really going after the win but is there to cause issues and be a pain really. The Halo Risk game has a game mode like that

You couldn’t do it. One team would watch the other two and watch them fight, and steam roll the two armies when they were sufficiently widdled down. There is no strategy that can consistently counter this. IT cannot work.

I think 2v2v2 and 3v3v3 and FFA would be awesome. In a team format, you usually have set people go on offensive and defensive, so that way the guys attacking don’t have to worry about their base being blown up.

Yeah I like the idea of forging alliances like AoE. Halo Wars dropped to $20 so fast (or did it start there?). I hope they make it more like the old AoE in general, but limit it to where someone isn’t building an invincible base. I like the focus on combat. One forest map for 3v3 would be nice where you can maneuver small armies through trees or larger units on dirt paths. :slight_smile: I can’t wait to see what they do… as long as it is not Halo Wars with better graphics, it needs changes and additions no matter how they are making the game.
