I LOVE the cloud 9 kit. But I have zero desire to actually rep cloud 9 via the chest emblem. I only bought the kit for the shader. When I got into it I was surprised to see I can’t change anything from it. I get that it’s a curated look, but it should be customizable once purchased especially at $10 for one look.

I agree. Kits should provide specific parts for their armor cores, not be this stand-alone thing that can’t be changed.
But I’m not saying to nix them. I actually think they’re really cool, but they need to be more useful for their value.

This is a rather minor issue, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t the most infuriating thing in the game for me right now. Customization being gated behind paywalls and progression is one thing, but the arbitrary limits on how we can mix and match what we steadily obtain is beyond disappointing.
I don’t know how complicated the underlying system is, but at the end of the day, players should be able to wear whatever helmet, shoulders, and colors they want, regardless of the “armor core” they selected.
