I beat the first group of enemies on the gondola on the right, but this group on the left has had me stopped for like 2 weeks. It’s ruining the game for me. I’m literally about to go trade it because it’s so stupid difficult.
Am I missing something that makes it more manageable, or is it just this obnoxious?
That was the hardest part of the campaign for me too, I found the best way to do it was just to take my time and focus on taking out all the crawlers and watchers first.
After that, I took my time to slowly take down one knight at a time and stayed in cover as much as possible. The scatter shot is really useful for this if you can find one.

Don’t know why, but that mission seemed like a breeze from Forerunner and Infinity.

I’m actually on the last mission, but for some stupid reason, I’ve had to go back and repeat a couple missions to get credit for them, even though the campaign advanced. I spent 6 hours an this damn part, only to have to redo it because of crappy programming.
one thing i do is go do other stuff, then come back the next day and try again. I usually do it in a few days. This worked well with the BO2 strike force missions, why those things cant be easier i will never know

Just fly over to the where the third tower is and you’ll see a giant hole where you can fit in. From there just jetpack inside the inner door. BAM! Just skipped 2/3 of the mission.

To OP: Either take your time, run through it, or do the Pelican Skip Trick. I ran through it. Kill a few of the enemies, then using the Jet Pack, quickly run to the switch while wisely dodging the enemies (though some will need killing), then run towards the gondola, Jet Pack down to it, and get on the bottom level of it and hide while it goes on. To deal with Knights, the Scattershot is amazing. If you don’t have one, then use the SAW.

Yeah, but you don’t get credit for completing rally point charlie, and therefore don’t get credit for completing Forerunner as a mission.

Thank you for this reply. This is the sort of thought out reply that I really appreciate. I’ll check it out, try it, and see what’s what. Cheers.
I actually took out the watchers, knights as many crawlers as I could get from the gondola as I kept getting killed by the knight with the Binary rifle lol
Then i made my way up killing the remaining crawlers
Bring the DMR / SAW in with you, they’re the best guns you can get right away. Don’t bother with the rail gun. Use the DMR exclusively for the first stop, you can get full ammo (42 bullets) from the Pelican. Don’t be stingy with grenades.
The first stop is pretty straight forward, so we’ll skip that. Go up the left side at the second stop. The weapon rack about midway up the tower has a Scattershot in it. Use the SAW on everything, and switch it with the Scattershot when it runs out of ammo. There’s a Battlewagon that spawns near the roof access on the left side, so clear out the right with the SAW. Once that’s done, grab the aforementioned Scattershot and kite him over to you, by peaking up the roof access ramp and then ducking back to break his LOS, making him come up to you. Shoot him 2-3 times, dead, rest is cake.
Kill Crawlers on / around gondola with DMR (if your DMR is empty / low before you get off at the second stop, switch for Lightrifle on gondola) mop up Knights with your left over Scattershot rounds. Walk into the beam, kill a couple Watchers so you can dash to the gondola, grab ammo and hide on the lowest level until you get back to start.
