.) Brightness…we need a brightness adjuster in both Guardians & Master Chief Collection. Even if it’s slight like “+1 to +3” & “-1 to -3.” Sick of having to adjust my TV just for Halo. Guardians is even darker & I have no way to adjust it but my TV?
.) For the love of god, give us the option to lower the lobby music, especially in Master Chief Collection! Again, I have to turn the TV down late at night over & over when that song swells up. Everybody I play with HATES that loud song. Make it like this in the settings somewhere: “Lobby Music: Off, 25%, 50%, 75%, Full”
.) The guns on the ground are too hard to see in Guardians, especially when they all start stacking up on dead bodies. Also, I can walk right over a BR on the map & not even see it. On a regular LCD 42" TV I can’t even tell where the weapons are & the font you use to identify weapons is horrible, I can barely read it from six feet away. I can’t see what something is real fast during all the action & being shot.
.) Sick of the kiddy style graphics in Halo. This will probably never change, but make an adult, realistic Halo with 12 vs. 12 on big maps. Big Team was the most played playlist at the end of Halo 4, yet you support it the least. Make a realistic Battlefield style Halo with more gritty graphics. Nobody wants “Call of Halo” except all your marketing people. We’re sick of the gimmicks. Go back to a Halo 2 style map design, power weapons on the map, everybody has sprint & no thrusters, then make the power-ups on the map too. Make the levels designed around fighting over the power weapons, that was the FUN of Halo. 12 vs. 12 with an extra vehicle or two on slightly bigger maps would be awesome.
.) You lost your hardcore crowd because you’ve been selling out to the Call of Duty crowd. Most of us that fell in love with Halo are now older yet you market to younger & younger gamers. I get it, the big spenders at Christmas when they cry to mommy to get a game. It’s time you did something for the Hardcore again though & made a Halo more gritty & adult. It’s laughable how bad the series has gotten from what it started. The game was originally about this big Covenant attack on humanity, yet you never really see any humanity being attacked? Who are we fighting for again? Why isn’t there a realistic, detailed city with Warthogs flying down it, etc watching cars move & humans being attacked ever? What was Halo 4…go through a couple rooms…hit a button…couple rooms…hit a button…hit a button…goddang there’s a lot of button pushing in the future. I know the game has to load, but you can do better.
.) It would be nice to have different control schemes for vehicles in a separate control area. For instance, I play on Universal Reclaimer in Master Chief Collection. Then you get in a Hornet & Left Bumper/A button go up & down, totally frustrating. Why can’t I have default vehicle controls, yet change my other controls too? Get with the times…every other games has 3-5x the Settings Options as Halo.
.) Guns are unbalanced in current Guardians Beta (12/20/2014) The Assault Rifle is beating my DMR half the length of the map when I’m headshotting every time? The melee action currently feels hit or miss. No way to consistently melee with losing track of my target & them thrusting…FRUSTRATING. It’s hard to get in range when the Assault Rifle is a little too good currently. (with Sword etc)
.) Beef up the vehicles so CTF is more fun in BTB. Halo 4 was cheap as heck because everybody could set up a plasma pistol + two stickies. CTF it would be more fun & bit easier to score if you beefed up the default Warthog & Ghost slightly. I’m not saying make them tanks, but they need to be FUN again. Halo 4 the default Warthog & Ghost it was like a couple DMR’s destroyed it and/or plasma pistol & stickies. Whey even put the vehicles on the map if they feel like they are made of cardboard?
.) If crouch walking is such a part of the game so you’re not appearing on the motion sensor, then make it useful. You should be able to crouch walk slightly faster.
.) Spawns suck. I was sniping at my own base & all 4 of the enemy team instantly spawned there? Completely overwhelmed by no fault of my own = lose power weapon. = dumb.
.) H.U.D. needs cleaned up, hard to tell when my thrust is back even on a large TV.
.) No offense, but the graphics look rather average for a game three years in the making now. It barely (if any) looks better than Halo 4 from 360 running in HD in Master Chief Collection. I’d argue Halo 4 in Master Chief looks cleaner honestly & easier to see.
.) Just get Certain Affinity to make the WHOLE next Halo multiplayer. Those style graphics & maps are what Halo fans really want. Those maps are gorgeous the remade ones in Master Chief. Then you get this kiddy, colorful, smeared, dark graphics out of 343 with poor map design/no “flow” to the gameplay out of 343, hand it over to Certain Affinity for gosh sake…they are making wonderful stuff that Halo fans are digging. It’s more adult & realistic.
.) I’m sick of remade maps. ANOTHER Midship. Make new maps designed around flow of gameplay, strategy, & power weapons…you know like you did for Halo 2 before the company completely sold out & brought in a bunch of programmers who knew nothing about map design & gameplay like all the passionate Halo 1/Halo 2 people did that left the company.
.) Dedicated servers, we were promised these & it’s why I bought The Master Chief Collection. Still no servers up as of 12/20/2014. Embarrassing. You had a chance to stick it to Call of Duty & now it’s a laughing joke of the industry.
.) Most of the games so far seem like four people are just camping. Empire especially. It’s like all four people are in one of 3 spots on the map. I’m saying the whole map is never really used. I think you spawn to close to your team all the time. I know you need to spawn close, it’s smart strategy, but it shouldn’t be all the time so nobody moves around. Nobody wanders off to try to attack because they know they are always going to run into four people just sitting within a couple feet of each other & you’ll get owned.
