Please add Reach & 2A(including Campaign) Spartan armour to Halo 3

At least the Helmets & Shoulders.

2A has the ugliest spartans outside of H5

I want the H2A Campaign Mark VI armour. For Halo 3, at least the Helmet and all of it for 2A multiplayer and 4.

I agree 100% that the Mark VI from H2A’s Campaign should replace the current New-Visuals Mark VI in Halo 3’s Multiplayer, especially since the Gen 1 Techsuit was already sourced from H2A’s Campaign for the new biped, as well as the fact that the H2A Campaign set has the same model quality as the new sets introduced, negating much of the clear model disparity. I also think they should bring the CEA/Fireteam Raven Mark V armor over to Halo 3 as well for the same reasons.

I disagree that Reach and H2A Multiplayer armor should ever be brought over to Halo 3 However, as it has enough content already and adding more would only serve to anger those playerbases (especially H2A’s).

No H3 has had enough love. Give new armors to H2A, Reach, and 4. Hell give some love to ODST as well.

I’m dead serious when I say there is literally no reason as to why ODST hasn’t gotten more love, especially since there’s content in the game already that could have been used ages ago

why not have an alternate version of Johnson wearing the Hornet Pilot helmet?
why not have an alternate version of the Rookie wearing the Riot helmet?
why not add Sgt Stacker as a new ODST like Johnson? he has firefight lines, and they could even give him an alternate helmeted version using the H2A ODST Helmet to tie the day at the beach cutscene into the game more.

Dude 343 could literally make ODST variants of the Reds and Blues from RvB for ODST and people would cheer. There’s a literal endless pit of content 343 could add to ODST that people would absolutely adore.

I don’t want to see anymore added content until Halo 2 Classic get some love and the original Halo 2 Classic Xbox version is added to the MCC.

im sick of cosmetics, just leave it how it is.

Well good for you, you’re in the minority.

we’ve been over this already, i dont want mcc flooded with stupid cosmetics just wanna enjoy classic halo for what it is. if they wanna add real extra game content like what they did with flood firefight great!

You have a toggle to disable the new cosmetics, also your preference doesn’t take precedence over anyone else’s preferences and the vast majority of the community enjoys the new cosmetics. Like I said if you don’t like it, you literally have a toggle to turn off the new cosmetics so your complaining basically boils down to “I don’t enjoy this feature so others aren’t allowed to enjoy it either.” which is exactly what your post comes off as and it is incredibly childish.

Addressing @Omega399 too I guess:

As I have posited previously, ODST is unlikely to ever get additional cosmetics / customization overhauls / new content in general (other than additional enemy diversity in Firefight) because of one primary downside: no competitive modes.
No competitive features means ODST will always have drastically less player population than the other titles within MCC, and subsequently will be low on priority for new content.

Truthfully, it will be far more likely that the armor components in ODST will be properly broken up into “conventional” categories and added into Halo 3 long before ODST gets any new customization that is not Bug-Splattered Dutch/Mickey/Romeo/Rookie/Johnson or Injured Buck/Dutch/Mickey/Rookie/Johnson.

the issue isn’t i dont like looking at it, it’s that it’s taking up space on my xbox. yeah i think it looks stupid but if someone likes fine it’s in the game already but i dont wanna see more unless there’s a toggle to uninstall it without uninstalling the game.

Here’s an idea:
Merge Halo 3 & ODST into 1 game and integrate the content into the existing MP modes & allow for more custom game setups.

Firefight IS competitive, did you forget it has a score board per player?

I actually love that idea.

Few issues with that.

  1. ODST campaign/player mechanics is different from H3 campaign/player mechanics; integrating one or the other into the same engine/title might be considerably difficult and/or lead to a plethora of game-breaking bugs cropping up for both.

  2. Why devote the effort to wrangle two engines/systems/etc. together in their entirety when one can obtain similar performance/end results by importing just the weapon/vehicle models from the “less-played” title to the more-played title (as seen with the Suppressed SMG, AutoMag, Brute Plasma Rifle/Repeater, etc.), then editing player traits in game(-type) settings to obtain rough parity with the player mechanics in the “less-played” title.

The only complication of the above doctrine is the customization dissonance of the ODST armor permutations. Instead of “Head/Chest/Left Shoulder/Right Shoulder (and then Forearms/Legs/Visor/Backpack/Techsuit/etc. with MCC H3’s expanded customization)”, it would be more like Face/Headgear/Gear; with the default helmet/default shoulder armor/bug-splatter coating/damaged armor with the chest wound on a series of toggle options.

If 343i would want to port Alpha-Nine’s ODST armor into H3 MP, they would need to go through the process of baking the various ‘Headgear’ models into the standard ODST helmet model; then also breaking down the components within the Gear permutations into the Chest/Left Shoulder/Right Shoulder/Legs/Backpack categories.

On the positive side of the coin, after going to all that effort for adding the permutations into Halo 3, there will potentially be more of a reason for implementing a “ODST customization rework”; breaking up the pre-existing character models into a more ‘classic’ MCC customization menu (while also adding the categories of “Preset Characters” and “Firefight voices”).

Yeah but get this.
It says, right here mate on the box art “HALO 3: ODST”

Halo 3: Recon was the working title / pre-final title, but it was expected to be a standalone/original campaign + Halo 3 mutliplayer DLC.
The H3 was always intended to reference the attached MP, not the campaign.

It is far more potentially easier/probable to consolidate Halo 2 Anniversary MP into Halo 4 MP than it would be to cram ODST into H3.
