As the title suggests, assassinations was one of my favorite parts of the older Halos. It makes me really sad that they aren’t already in the game.
As long as they’re optional.
I’m fine with people wanting to ballerina dance around characters before killing them. But I just want to get it over with so I can keep on fighting personally.
Yeah, I definitely understand that. I just think a lot of them look cool.
I like assassinations. My issue with them was the animation would sometimes activate when I didn’t want it too, so I disabled it most of the time.
Yeah they can be a little annoying at times.
Are there any plans to add assassinations in the future?
From what I can tell, no.
I don’t think they’re coming back because supposedly they are on the fence about it since most players using custom games in halo would turn them off and players complained they couldn’t move their characters while the animation was occurring. So they figure why bother if the community doesn’t want it.
But not all of the community wants no assassinations. I’d prefer if they made them optional. Have a toggle in their settings that will give the player the option to turn on assassinations where if they press the melee button the enemy is beat down, but if they hold the melee button an assassination animation would occur. If the player doesn’t want them they can disable them. Then both sides can be happy
One of my favourite features
i always found it to be the opposite where i couldn’t get the animation to play for me
Asking won’t do anything.
It’s at the point that reality really needs to set in with certain people. 343 higher-ups have whatever they have planned…
(Their road map) and no one is going to change that.
i mean… they’ve always been an option. hold the melee to dance around, or just press it to do an regular smack
if i recall right… they said they’re ‘working on bettering it into the combat loop’, or something like that in a blog post pre-launch. honestly? i feel as tho they’re going to be the same, just overly monetized, more so than halo 5. either that or they just didn’t at all work on them so… they’re just once again, making excuses to bide them MORE TIME
I’m aware, but I still stand that if they include it in this game there must be an option to disable it is all.
I don’t think they can even if they wanted to honestly
