Currently there are two options for crouch behavior in Halo Infinite:
- hold button to stay crouched
- tap button to toggle crouch, tap again to untoggle
I’m not a fan of any of them. Option 1 is great for strafing, so that I can quickly crouch during a gunfight in order to mess with my enemies aim, but it’s bad for sneaking (at least with my preferred control scheme, with LS for crouching). Option 2 is great for sneaking, but it’s bad for strafing.
I wish there was another option, for example, if I tap the crouch button once, I will quickly crouch and stand-up again, as in option 1; but if I double tap in rapid succession I will toggle crouch until I tap the button again. That would probably mess-up teabagging, but I can live with that.
