343i, Bungie has made the biggest mistake in Halo history by not adding ranked playlists to matchmaking. The Arena is the only ranked playlist in Reach, which is absolutley pathetic!
343i has failed to mention fixing this major problem. I am sick of getting matched up with randoms everytime I play doubles, teamslayer, MLG, etc. Trueskill needs to be implemented on those playlists in order to match up players according to their skill.
Please make note of this and do what is best for the community. A solid ranking system is what gave Halo a competitve advantage over other FPS games.

but its so fun to play against people who have played the game for 1 hour total, when ive played 2000 times that much! then, the next game its fun to get paired up with a team of 4 inheritors and get slaughtered!
OH THE EXCITEMENT!
urza’s team wins the game! promoted to level 50 for the next match
urza’s team loses the game! demoted to level 2 for the next match
urza’s team wins the game! promoted to level 50 for the next match
rinse. repeat.
thats what reach is like, for me at least.
im either completely blowing out the other team all over the place, constantly and consistently; or im getting owned by a team of 4 coordinated people who play the game for over 60 hours a week.
in case you didnt get that massive sarcasm, i agree with you. the ‘ranking’ system in matchmaking is so un-strict its basically non-existent. i damn near never get paired up with people my skill level, and when i do, its a team of 4 and i get at least 2 ‘first week halo reach players’ on my team, so we get slaughtered because they cant compete.
Introducing rankings now wouldn’t be a god idea as most of the good, competitive players have already given up on the game and the Reach kiddies would cry bloody murder when they’re matching even teams and not LittleJohnny436 and his three guests to spawn-kill into oblivion.

Why don’t they just make a playlist where you have to be a certain rank to play so then you get matched with higher ranks instead of low ranks?

it s crazy pay 69.00$ for a game that have a only one playlist that play…i ever play another playlist…only arena…for me halo is play competitive…not play versus guest or another noob that quit match.
I’m tired of hearing “High K/D doesn’t mean you’re good.” That’s a fallacy. You really want to get into the delicate inner workings of Reach’s flawed matchmaking system? I’ve been playing Halo for a very long time. Long enough to say that most people with high K/D’s are generally good. I feel that implementing BPR into matchmaking would actually work. Why have a myriad of variables determine who you are matched up with? Keep it simple.
Argument : “K/D isn’t a viable way of telling who’s better at Halo.”
Even so, I’d rather play with someone less experienced than me who plays smart as opposed to someone who’s at the same skill level as me and plays like a reckless moron. If you think about it, the winner of the match doesn’t boil down to who’s better, but who’s team has more efficient contributors.
Never gonna happen. 343i has already stated they’re afraid to alter default Reach (even though they should completely scrap it. Default Reach is the reason Reach failed as a Halo game).

are you serious? where did they say that? Honestly that you be completly stupid on their part because it would mean that they are doing nothing to improve the game.
Halo 4 comes out in a year anyway, so why not take a risk and try to fix Reach 343…
