Honestly, spread is pointless… If you dont want it to fill a extended niche range, simply dont have a scope. (as long as theres also a zb DMR)
Also, hitscan is basically mandatory for xbox live… i was so sick of 12 shotting a guy in H3 cuz my shots werent registering.
Also, please for the love of god, have a decent ranking system. Reachs was better in theory but it just failed to work. Long search times is terribly annoying and the fact that every game affects you is annoying and TOO unforgiving. Yes, i said TOO. I dont have the want to, nor the willingness, to be at the top of my game with a To4 ready to go everytime i feel like playing some ranked TS. I like how in h2/3, the loss effected you, but if you had the skill to get back to the top, it was meaningless.
Im digging the 300 foot jump, as long as it wasnt 0g or jetpacks… and the movement speed, as long as it isnt sprint, looks pretty sweet too.
Few questions too, was anyone able to tell if bleedthrough is in the game? Or if we can shoot while sprinting?
this post, from frankie, is very disturbing and ignorant
"Power weapons may not be on set timers
We’re hearing that power weapons may not respawn in at set intervals, adding some unpredictability as to when rocket launchers, Spartan Lasers, and WMDs may reappear on the battlefield. The point of this is to make sure experienced players won’t dominate matches by running timed circuits to grab all the best goodies."
What ever happened to motivation to get good? It seems Halo is trying to appeal to the people that play it for a couple hours a month rather than its main fans.
I second both posts. As for the power weapon timers and experienced players not dominating, well experienced players are supposed to be more dominant and with a good ranking system less experienced players won’t have to worry about getting dominated. Simplicity and competition needs to return to Halo.

This, it should be about skill, not who happened to be by the power weapon when it randomly spawned. it ruins power weapon control and further more, map control (to an extent)

Frankie also said h4 will promote rock, paper, scissors gameplay. This worries me as it means armor abilities or perks or w/e will have a significant impact and that guns will have very limited niches.

That’s what Reach was for: So n00bs can’t be dominated by pros. The pros suffered from detrimental gameplay effects that made them worse.
Random timers = worst idea ever. The point of Halo is for the best player to dominate the lesser one.

Halo has always been about (well was until Bungie and 343 ruined it) rock paper scissors gameplay. The thing that made Halo great was if you had enough skill, you have a burning hammer of death that dealt with all comers.

I agreed with your first post, but this one is wildly innaccurate. The person who reported that “11 things” story, was off kilter on many of his claims. According to frank on NeoGAF.

I definitely saw bleedthrough on several occasions. As for running while sprinting, pretty sure you can’t; that would be insane.
> The BR needs spread. It’s what stops it being overpowered at range.

Or its autoaim is turned off at a certain range, thats been done with several weapons.

It was in the sticky so i just assumed it was true
I thin what you guys mean is bullet travel not spread. From what I understand Spread is when bullets go random. And i agree with you on hitscan, cause of the lag.

No, halo has been about WEIGHTED at the most. i.e. halo 1 pistol VS halo 1 rockets
Not predetermined battles. I.e. Camo and sniper VS Sprint and AR

It’s okay man, i was freaking out until I saw both of these NeoGAF posts:
