I don’t mean to complain but the scope is extremely ugly and makes the BR look less like Halo and more like the iPhone game N.O.V.A. And just out of curiosity why would a square scope be chosen? humans don’t have heads that would compliment that scope.
Holographic sights are square, some red dots too.
I like it, it’s something different & looks cool.
Besides, I use EOD helmet… my eyes are half-square anyway;)

those are mid range sights. The scope on the BR looks like some sort of ACOG scope, which are never square.
What’s funny is the halo sniper has a square eye-piece but it’s round on the other end. I kind of like it, it’s different, it’s asthetically pleasing to me…

The BR scope is a mid range sight, it only has 2x magnification.

I agree. The warthog, BR, and Spartan IV’s have a lot of useless flash and no substance. So many random geometric shapes just added on for the sake of making it look futuristic.

Why? It’s absolutely covered in pointless shapes and lines and bits of geometry. Its change for the sake of change, nothing else. It takes a classic design that looks beautiful and then makes it less focused, more pointless.
When you think about reliability for the weapons and just how much usage the Chief’s weapons have then the design of the new BR makes perfect sense.
I love it the design is utilitarian, just as the continuous function of the weapon should be.

It’s not even like I’m against making things more detailed, but 343 seems to think cramming as much complex geometry on everything makes the game look good.
