please 343 for halo 5

Please have ranked and social playlist.
This makes everyone happy we have the ranked playlist for the tryhards and then we have the social playlist for the kids who just want to play the game and doesnt care about ranks.

Have an exp system like reach that co-exist with the ranking system. Also have the exp ranks more like Halo 3 with symbols.

This would make so much more sense considering the ranking in halo 4 is way to easy to achieve as in terms of time frame.

Loadouts need to be limited to social playlist as to not have ranked playlist being unbalanced. Aka Camo

Halo 4 is fun but it needs improvement which is understandable with a crew that has never made a halo game so I give them a break. Halo 5 is where they need to shine

That doesn’t work too. Ranked playlist becomes overly aggressive and results in players doing anything to win, including exploiting glitches or even networking manipulation. Even has a higher chance of quitting with people not wanting to deal with player a team that they know would have a chance at beating them. Usually there’s a way around negative repercussions for quitting. Not to mention the whole black market deal.

Social playlists usually has people that don’t care at all, not working to play the game and just too much goofing off. The attitude of, “It’s just social” is way too high and people will quit for simple not getting a gametype or map they don’t like. Also draws in the tryhards who want to “stomp” all over someone and spawncamp, retorting all comments about balance, negative behaviour or cheating with “it’s just social”. Also draws in the black market from people who want to quickly fill up their recent players list to advertise their 50 account.

Pray tell, why don’t you give it a rest already? if he wanted to contribute to that thread he would have. And then we would not have known what he wanted to say at all.

Global rank resetting (maybe every 3-4 months) deals with most issues related to ranks, including account selling, boosting, and other exploits.

Having a social playlist adds weight to the other end of the spectrum; people can play without having to worry about their rank. It can be used as a “warm up” playlist or just a place for less competitive players to hang out.

The fact is there would be a variety. It worked well in the past. In both Halo 2 and Halo 3, ranked & social playlists were fairly evenly divided and catered to both ends of the spectrum. No one was left out—competitive or casual. I can’t see the error in that.

…you mean like in Reach? That eliminates all these problems and gives an incentive to keep playing long after you’ve “reached 50” (note, many people stopped playing at level 50 as there was no longer an incentive, even if they didn’t sell the account). But guess what? That system was attacked because nobody could use it as cement proof that they were better then the other guy you’re arguing with on a Halo forum.

I guess it would be similar to Reach, except they’d be visible. I’ve played around 1000 games of Halo Reach and I wasn’t even aware that there was a ranking system. I’m suggesting to have a visible ranking system much like Halo 2 or Halo 3, but have global rank resets on occasion to prevent a lot of the issues that happened in the past.

How about we just stop?

Like, just stop with it all.

Or we could continue talking about about how 343i could improve Halo 4, and you can choose to stay or leave.

Many of us share the OP’s thoughts. As well, why should we have to wait more than 2 1/2 years for Halo 5? The issues with matchmaking in Halo 4 can/should be addressed now. Besides, if 343 does that, then it would create more confidence in we current players to buy and promote the forth coming Halo 5. If they (343) chooses not to address the issues, it most certainly will help to create even more of a lack of confidence as evident by the plethora of thread/posts on these forums and elsewhere.

May I ask why people who play the social playlists are always referred to as “kids” in a derogatory way?

I hope everyone involved in the creative direction of Halo4 be dismissed, especially by failure in multiplayer!

Regardless of how you feel, that is where all Halo 5 suggestions go for now.
