This is a pretty well put together post, I agree
Give it a month and Region Lock will kill completely Halo outside US.
343i should take whatever steps necessary and possible as fast as they can so that H5 player Base wonât keep decreasing.

They are ignoring us since 2 months.
Australians are being ignored since even before.
My hope (and patience) is almost finishedâŚ
Halo 5 is already dead brother.

This is true for alot of gamers in the UK 343 have done a bad job with Halo 5, and due to that people have moved on, lack of content at launch.
Major issues with hit detection, lag, too similar to COD. etcâŚ

Iâve heard a lot of UK players can usually find a match. Lag is part of every game and I havenât experienced the hit detection (except for the railgun but they fixed it). Also, I thought we as a community established that halo 5 is very different from CoD. IMO 343 did a good job.
Letâs be honest here.
The people that whine about finding matches are people with terrible internet.
In my opinion, if you have sub-par or using Wi-Fi, you shouldnât be playing games. Games now a days use more resources than ever and if youâre not hardwired, itâs pretty much your fault.
Just my opinion. Ever since I hardwired my games a couple years ago, online couldnât run smoother.

Whatâs stopping whiskey from doing a matchmaking in social then

No 343 doesnât have servers outside of US so itâs not the people in other countries fault. You could have perfect connection but not find a match cause the servers are hundreds of miles away

This is actually a completely wrong and false statement.
People can have great Internet, like myself, but since LIVE or Halo 5s servers decide to have a hiccup, I can get kicked out oif a game, can it you your connectionj, Sure, buts its just false to say its always your connection.

I just saw this, I forgot the NOT, ya, my friend says why donât they a social version, I usually give the same response you just did, sorry for the typo.
There, correction madeâŚ

All games have issues or things that could be, should be etc etc.
Iâm just glad an effort is being made to continue to add to the game rather than just leave it be.

I agree, but I still feel like 343 is holding things back and ignoring the casual player base a bit to much, as of now we have sort of social warzone, BTB, Grifball, and one true social playlist that has 3 modes.
My real worry is what will they do after JuneâŚ
To me, Halo 5 is good at keeping players playing if they have a goal, like Achilles, For me, My goal is to get both Helljumper and Centurion. But not everyone has a goal and just want to play for fun, 343 needs to add more then one social playlist, heck, turn the Warzone tab into a social tab, all modes like Action sack, Infection ,BTB, warzone and Assault could go in there, And just for it, they could add a ranked BTB since I know some have wanted it.
They need to listen to the fans and not let the game die and lose relevance.

Answers like these makes me more pissed than ever.
Iâm angry and I complained every single day since early February because BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO FIND GAMES WITHIN SECONDS IN EVERY PLAYLISTS AT ANY HOUR you get it?
Region lock is real, 343 admitted it, so itâs not some invention created by the mind of some foolish crybaby.
Region lock problems are also improved by A SYSTEM BASED ON PLAYER RANKS so players like me, onyx or high diamond in almost every playlists the past seasons, are thrown and abandoned literally into the mud, condemned to play only on peak hours because in **every other time of the day find matches is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE.**Maybe the players you are referring simply use to play on peak hours regularly and have a low rank.

Not correct.
**Halo 5 matchmaking is based on Microsoftâs Azure Cloud Platform, which has many datacenters all over the world. The majority of them are in US, of course, in Europe there are 2: one in Dublin and one in Amsterdam.**I know it for suce because iâm a software developer and a Microsoft Dynamics CRM consultant and even online version of Microsoftâs business applications are based on Azure.
The problem here is one and has two faces: Region Lock and Ranking Based Multiplayer search. The first one, of course, is the most limitating one and is the principal cause tha prevents people outside US to find games and play freely in every moment of the day.

not so fast, While some may see the outcome as bleak, not all is lost, not much is lost, the game still has a stable population, What needs to happen is 343 needs to look at what they have now and take advantage of it, add more modes, more non-forged maps, fix the ranking and add some, they need to promote those modes as well, FireFight is a great example, do that with more modes and maps and they will be golden.

That was just one sentence lol

All the possible upcoming updates will be just pointless if we will unable to play freely like we are now. Until region lock will be in place (as it is now, at least), Halo outside US is screwed.
