Pleasant surprise with the Repulsor

During a game of stockpile, I found myself alone among a fresh pile of power seeds.

Wanting to carry more than just one seed, I tested to see if I could use the Repulsor to ‘push’ the pile towards my base.

IT WORKED!

With the help of the generous cooldown, I managed to push 5+ seeds to my base’s ramp before the enemy team started putting bullets in my back.

Of course, by then it was too late, and my teammates scrambled to quickly deposit 5 seeds for an easy win.

The equipment in Infinite allows for some pretty creative uses. Good job on this, 343.

Grappling Hook can be fun too to snatch them away from the grasp of the enemy team.

I’ve heard people taking about this, but I’ve never tried. Does it launch them far? I imagine them only going 10 ft or so and getting scattered all over the place.

You could always fire up a custom game to test it yourself; but to answer your question, it didn’t seem to launch the group of seeds very far. You might get a better launch with the grav hammer.

I love that story!
Haha!

The repulsor is a tool that has a learning curve. Was very, very confused what it was supposed to do at all for a long time. Deflect and reflect enemy attacks, you say? Okay, someone shooting bullets at me… deflect! Waah why is it not doing anything? Is timing wrong? Okay, try again… again… again… nothing? What is this supposed to be deflecting?

Then, sheer accident, deflected grenade and boom bye-bye baddie. Oh.

Oooooohhh…

Then came the booping charging sword wielders. Booping baddies off edges of maps. Booping self to higher ground. Must try boop-splatter. If a vehicle is next to enemy and vehicle booped, splatter, maybe? Yes. Surely this must work…

I’ve tried this. I booped a warthog rather forcibly into an enemy, and it pinned him against a rock face. Sadly, it did very little damage AND allowed him to use the warthog for cover…until we blew it up.
