Will there be any playlists featuring classic modes like team slayer and will there also be a playlist that features AI and players without being campaign like?

Most likely,but not when Halo 4 is release,you might see stuff later down the road.

War Games is the new name for multiplayer matchmaking.

Nope, You got your normal main menu:

  • Campaign
  • Infinity
    > Spartan Ops
    > War Games
    > Custom Games
    > Forge
  • Theater

Custom Games (and maybe Forge) could be a part of War Games, not sure if War Games is overall multiplayer or only Online Matchmaking.

New Gametypes/Playlists:

  • Infinity gametypes/playlists
  • Regicide
  • Flagnum (new CTF)
  • Grifball (It is a real gametype now instead of a modified Assault gametype)
  • Dominion

We got some new things, but there will still be classic variants of playlists and gametypes.
