So, my friend has his copy of Halo 4 and he’s been already playing for like 3 days and he says that there are
NO TEAM DOUBLES AND NO RUMBLE PIT
in the game.

There will be more playlists added after launch as per usual for a Halo game.
It is possible the playlists can be added after launch, but at this time there is no 2v2 or FFA Slayer playlist.
Very disappointed that there is no rumble pit/lone wolves. As for doubles; the maps are just too big for 2v2

They could always take in community forged maps built for 2v2 and give Doubles players what they want at the cost of aesthetics.

Regicide is FFA Slayer that rewards the guy in second place all game. It is Losers’ Slayer.

It’s still FFA, just because they changed the rules up a bit does not mean it changes the gametype otherwise I guess CTF is not CTF anymore

It’s a free for all gametype, but it is no replacement for the traditional Rumble Pit. Same with the new CTF.

It’s a game mode - Variant of Slayer.
They haven’t put it into a Playlist.
Like many other things, they’ve created it/are creating it, and will put it onto Matchmaking after the game is released.
While I am disappointed there is no regular FFA at launch, I’m sure they’ll add something down the line. Not too worried.

they want a more ‘focused’ multiplayer at launch. they’ll add more game variants later
I would hardly call Regicide a suitable replacement for Rumble Pit but tomatoes/tomahtoes
Seriously though, those of you upset about no doubles. Wait till you actually play on one of these maps lol. Dubs would be the most boring and campy thing ever. These maps are huge.
Yeah, very disappointing that my favorite playlist (Rumble Pit) isn’t there. Regicide won’t do it for me.
I hope there will be some proper FFA later on.
The question is how far into the game are these playlists going to be released?
No Multi-team or BTB Objective either… two of my personal favs
