I am not in the crowd that wants halo to stay the same. The core gameplay on halo 5 (IMO) is the best since halo 3. Other than the core gameplay 343 has failed at every aspect of multiplayer. My issue is not with basic gameplay. Many of the things that have made halo…halo have simply been disregarded by 343. One of these items that has been looked over is the playlist selection. Many of these playlists are what have made halo…halo. Each and every one of them is essential to the halo experience. Everyone has their different tastes. To leave one off is to deprive someone of what their idea of good halo is.
I for example am furious with the treatment of doubles in the last 3 halo titles. It has taken entirely too long for it to become a permanent playist in all of them. Always, it ends up being social too. I’m not a infection or griffball fan. But, I understand the frustration from the players that want their inclusion. These playlists are part of halo. They should be in the game on release every time. War Zone and Breakout should be test playlists because they are new an unproven. Don’t turn snipers, doubles, and oddball into tests playlists. If these playlists were in the game on launch, I can guarantee you the game would be much higher on the Xbox games played rankings. Quit overthinking everything,
This is how the playlists should be and I think almost every halo player out there agrees. So, why doesn’t 343 agree?
