so in the most recent community update ske7tch showed us what the playlists will look like once ranked is out. its awesome but I noticed that for xbox there wasn’t any playslist for casual 1v1 death, casual blitz duel, and ranked blitz duel. is that intentional or did he just leave them out by accident lol. it would be a bummer if 1v1 blitz wasn’t ranked.
Yeah, I though the same… My first reaction is that now I need to look for a partner to play 2v2
If the update is accurate it’s the complete opposite of what I expected for Blitz. I thought it would be 1v1 ranked, 2v2/3v3 unranked (2v2 could go either way) keeping it at three playlists as typically in this kind of game the higher playercounts are seen as more casual. I do understand why they can’t just add all the ranked playlists on top without taking anything away, there is a limited player base particularly on the PC and the more playlists there are the weaker the matchmaking. But that’s a bizarre cut if it is in fact accurate, and bothers me a bit.
I like 1v1 Blitz, it was the mode I could just hop on and play a few quick games clearing some daily challenges without waiting around to group up with friends, dealing with bad/quitting teammates or potentially getting stuck in a long deathmatch. And I just think Blitz plays better in 1v1 where one person needs to multi-task the energy/several locations at once.
Blitz plays so much better 1v1. It’s my much preferred mode. I don’t have much time to play each day and I generally only jump on to do the daily challenges. I haven’t enough packs opened in order to get all my 1v1 decks up to scratch yet, so for a bunch of the challenges I’m forced to jump into 2v2 and 3v3 alone to complete the daily’s as my friends all left in week one because there was no xp for firefight or skirmish. It sucks then when teammates drop or just sit there and don’t move.
If they want blitz to grow and be competitive then a 1v1 playlist is a must. Once again with these playlists the developers are telling you how they want you to play the game. They don’t want you to play your own way. Those that play other ways are wrong. There simply has to be ways to play when you jump on alone! If 1v1 Blitz goes I feel I’m going to go to.
No casual 1v1 to pratice starts. I love ranked anyway but have to pratice playing the ai now i guess lol no biggie
I personally play way more 2v2 than 1v1, but it is true that sometimes it sucks when your teammate doesn’t know how to play well… 1V1 for me it is waaay more Ranked style than 2v2… I guess they want to do like Halo 5 and make players to create teams if they want to go pro.

That’s the thing, they shouldn’t be forcing you to play the game the way they want. A good game allows everybody to play the game the way they want to play. Whatever way a person wants to play is correct.
Practice against AI isn’t rewarded either. At least some xp should be given for all modes. You need to incentivise players to play the game in all its modes. Just alieninating players that play a certain way is a sure fire way to diminish numbers over time. People that play casually will eventually get better and eventually try the other modes.
Jumping in to an rts is already daunting for some players and now removing modes will just remove that player base that prefers that mode.
