Playlists Changes We Need ASAP!

I still do not know why 343i is doing this whole weekend playlist poll; giving us the illusion of choice isn’t great. So I propose the following modifications:

1. REMOVE Warzone Assault
Probably the most asinine gamemode I’ve ever played, so many matches end in a deadlock at the first base, as there’s little strategy you can utilize other than using some dope REQ card and spamming grenades like no tomorrow. Not to mention, especially on Dispatch & Summit, all you need is for one defender to play hide-&-seek in the first base to prevent you from capturing the base. This is a waste of servers in my honest opinion.

Besides, Big Team Battle is on the way and we would not want to further dilute the Warzone population, so this is highly recommended.

2. ADD more Slayer variants, while reducing the respawn timers from 8 seconds to 5.

  • Team BRs
    (Battle Rifle primary, Pistol secondary.)
  • Team DMRs
    (DMR primary, Pistol secondary.)
  • Team LRs (LightRifles)
    (LR primary, Boltshot secondary.)
    These Slayer variants with slightly lower weightage than normal Slayer, will most definitely help to bring a lot of much-needed freshness to the Slayer & Free-For-All playlists.

3. ADD Multi-Team (Make it the FIRST Social playlist, without ranks!)
With all of the 4 Slayer variants (including those listed in #2), this is a playlist that can probably be very dope! I strongly recommend removing ranks for this to make this the first social playlist for casuals! Four Teams of 2 will duke it out in a Team Doubles-FFA hybrid like chaotic setting, and will be a most definite favourite among many others.

  1. ADD Team Doubles
    This is something 343i should had learnt from their Halo 4 & MCC experience. With all of the 4 Slayer variants and Neutral Flag, Team Doubles will most definitely be another favourite playlist.

So in summary, let’s look at what playlists we would then hopefully have by the end of this month to make Halo 5 as awesome with it’s current abilities:

  • Multi-Team, [Unranked] - Free-For-All (Rename it Rumble Pit/Lone Wolf?) - Team Arena - Slayer (Rename it Team Slayer?) - Team Doubles - SWAT - Breakout - Big Team Battle - WarzoneWith this amount of playlist changes for now, I hope it sincerely makes our games better for this month. I and the rest of the community could think of more new ideas, but until then, I strongly feel these are the changes we need now.

Warzone Assault is the closest thing to Invasion, so I wouldn’t remove it. If it bothers you so much, just don’t play it.

The game really needs more objectives. I know everyone loves Slayer, but a nice change of pace would be…a nice change of pace. There’s just no objectives other than CTF and Strongholds on the disk, and the promise of more gametypes in the future is hollow until it actually starts happening, which it has not.

It’ll probably be next year until 343i adds more permanent playlists.

I enjoy warzone assault, its not for everyone but I love the focused standoff in it. In regular warzone people run around like headless chickens a lot of the time. In assault there is a single clear goal.

Don’t remove Warzone Assault. There’s only two Warzone playlists and this is the only PvP one. I don’t mind PvPvE but I got to say Assault has become very fun for me

This would be great, and maybe some casual games like infected and griffball, or team snipers
