playlist update

What is the point with a playlist update in a lag fest. Really 343 it’s been a month. How does a game get to gold that can’t be fixed in 30 days. What is the problem, and how long will it take to fix it. None of these games had these problems originally. How can we beta test h5 when we still can’t play MCC.

On the systems they were originally built for yes most of these problems did not exist, but all games have had to be ported (in one form or another) and made to work on the Xbox One’s architecture, which is vastly different from the Xbox 360 OS and different enough from the original Xbox OS - yes it was x86, but using the something like the Windows 2K or NT kernel, that’s software over 10 years old with many deprecated features and bug fixes over the years and API’s that probably don’t exist any more.

Not making excuses for things slipping right past QA or whatever, just wanted to shed a little light on parts that people often gloss over. What was done with MCC was an absolutely mammoth undertaking, co-ordinating multiple companies. Delaying MCC was never really an option due to the date significance, so I think they really should have started work on this earlier than they did. Releasing just H2A on the X1 would have angered a lot I think, most would have called for a 360 version which the console just wouldn’t be able to handle.

You’re trying to tell me lag was non existent in h2 ,3, and 4? Good one buddy.
