Playlist Update Ideas

lol did you ever play halo 3 zombies that was the best

Ugh, I hate Infection. Only fun when you’re a human player. But I don’t see how releasing more maps will change how people camp in the game.

Sorry, but I don’t think it would be a very good idea to change the Living Dead playlist gametypes at all.

It’s by far the most popular playlist for a reason - it’s the most fun. People like the fact that they can camp and get easy kills. Sure, it’s annoying when you spawn as the zombie 3 rounds in a row and go negative by a load, but that hardly ever happens.

It’s popularity grew a lot more when Alpha Zombies was introduced - the Evade ability makes the zombies too unpredictable. People like zombies with sprint becasue they’re easier to kill.

And the suggestion that the Alpha Zombies gametype be changed to include shields? I don’t think so.

I do agree that Living Dead specific maps could do with being introduced though, bungie were lazy just using the default versions.

However, 343 need to test the maps thoroughly to check for screen lag and tone down any community made maps with too much clutter - otherwise they’ll have to limit the playlist to 2 players locally and that is not what I want. There’s 3 of us who all play on the one box in my house.

Now that 343 Industries are in charge of matchmaking, when do they update the playlists? Is it the same time as bungie had it, or is it different now? And where can i go to find out about what will change? Thanks for the help!

If I remember correctly, the big Title Update should occur somewhere before or after the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

Didn’t you ever play Halo 3 infection? That playlist was pretty much THE most popular when it was available on double XP weekends. It was great fun for both humans and zombies alike, and some of them made you think about how you were going to survive and what your next move was going to be, I’m saying that with some new maps Living Dead would be more popular than ever before.

Somewhere before or after Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary? So basically anytime your saying. That really answered his question…

Move Shotty Snipers to Snipers, Squad/Team/Premium Slayer with an AVERAGE weighting.

Yep I hope this can be answered in a Bulletin or something. It’s been 2 months since the last one and even then the ones right before the last ones were awful. I know I’m not the only one missing the DLC Map Pack specific playlists. I know theirs the 2 now but it was way better when it was Noble DLC, etc.

I believe that some people like AA’s and others don’t. I also beleive some people like classic multiplayer while others like reach. In Halo CE anniversary I would love to see 3 things happen:

-Playlist Options Expanded
I think that If playlists were divide into social and ranked Multiplayer would show more skill. Another thing they should do is when you click on like BTB it says Armor Abilities or Classic, you know for the people who like armor abilities.

-Custom Game Lobby’s MM
This could be for people who want to play on there maps on MM. So you could add your maps to MM by trying them out on a customs playlists hosted by observers from 343 or groups so you don’t cheat/boost.

-Group Forging
Have a playlist on MM that allows you to forge with someone new.

That’s what I would like for MM how about you?

A 1-50 playlist maybe just for this classic mode, because that is in fact classic, preferably the Halo 2 system so that the one playlist to have a 50 would be really hard and competitive.

for CEAs playlist/changes I would like to see a classic feel playlist with no bloom, super pistol etc. (good times :D)

also a customs lobby browser would be amazing, not very likely but it could make reach great (since nobody really does customs anymore)

Community Invasion. The only options we really have with the normal Invasion is playing on Boneyard or Spire. Breakpoint is rarely an option.

Agreed.

I think an all out vehicle game type, where you only get credit for a kill if you use a vehicle. Wraith, gauss hogs, tanks, ghosts warfare. What does everyone think?

They can’t give out credits based on which weapons you use. There isn’t a system in game for it. If you want vehicles, Blood Gulch CTF is full of 'em.

All they have to do is forge a map with tons of vehicles. Enough vehicles so that there are enough for BOTH teams at all times, and vehicles must spawn near instantly. No weapons on the maps and all players spawn with magnums and no grenades.

When will 343 update the playlists in Halo: Reach?
Team Slayer almost always gives you choices of forge world varients and almost never gives you a dlc map or bungie designed map. Why is this the case and can they change this?

I mean, your team/personal score does not count (given credit) for the kill unless done in a vehicle. I can shoot someone with a DMR all day, but the kill will not count. I’d like the playlist in MM.

Why the hell would they make a playlist for this… Just play a custom game…
