Then at least state it’s your own opinion in the OP, you are giving no main reason behind it.
This is true. But don’t make certain playlists require dlc. I think that’s wrong, IMO anyway.
What I think they should do, is learn a lesson from CoD (this is probably the only time I’ll ever say that btw). What I mean is, they should just make it to where if you have the dlc, it’ll automatically match you with other ppl who also have the dlc, no matter what playlist you’re in. Just like call of duty does right now. I can search for a regular team deatmatch game in CoD, and find people who have all of the same map packs that I do. I can do the same in demolition, search and destroy, etc…
Summary: If you have the dlc, when you’re searching for a game (in ANY playlist) it’ll match you with people who have the same maps as you. This way, no one has to buy the maps to play certain playlists, AND the ppl who bought the dlc get their money’s worth. I feel that this would be the best way to deal with dlc in matchmaking and would work really well. Anyone else agree?
Your idea is good, but Reach’s population can’t support anywhere near that many playlists. Search times would be so unbearable that a lot of people would stop playing the game entirely.
Surely it has to be soon.
Having v4 settings in MLG is so boring!
And i’m pretty sure that the v6 settings are already in production by Killa KC.
If you flame this thread by saying I should go onto the MLG website.
Last time I checked, they weren’t in charge of bringing the updates.
Haven’t heard of any updates to the MLG playlist. Sorry, you’ll just have to wait until BS Angel or whoever is in charge of playlist information and updates.
I can understand your concern. We do not treat people like crap here. We actually respect others wants but keep ours too. so i can understand why you would want to play the latest and greatest in matchmaking.
I’d say we might not see a update till later in the month or not till next month. Just waring you it may not be updated for a while.

MLG won’t be updated until MLG submits the v6 settings to 343. It would be silly to update to v5 (where most people don’t like the maps) and then have v6 come out only a couple weeks later.
Does anyone have an idea of when 343i will do their first ever playlist update? i dont mean the Title Update. I just mean like any changes that 343i will do with the playlists?
Reach needs a playlist update and it could be really fun but 343 needs to especially hit three playlists. Living Dead, Invasion, and Action Sack all need an update but everything else is good as is. Here’s why: Living Dead is a camper’s paradise, and its not good for anyone else, Invasion only has two good easily playable invasion maps, and Action Sack just plain seems to be lacking in variety.
Solution for Living Dead: Tailor made Infection maps. Plain and simple, we could even grab some from the community, but infection needs maps that have no sniper towers, or huge open spaces, and need narrow passages and rooms to bunker down in.
Solution for Invasion: Pretty much the same as Living Dead, we need more Forge maps and I’m sure that there are some great forge Invasion maps that have already been made that we can use.
Solution for Action Sack: First priority for Action Sack is to bring back all of the old Halo 3 Action Sack games that we have come to know and love like Team Sumo, Run for Cover, Dodgeball, and Team Fiesta. (Please tell me is I missed any.) Also we need to remove shotty snipers from Action Sack and place it in team snipers (I just kind of feel like Shotty Snipers doesn’t belong in Action Sack). And finally if we could make a new playlist that we could call FFA Action Sack, I have personally seen some great custom gamemodes that fit under the category of Action Sack, but the only problem is that they are FFA, so if we make FFA Action Sack we could include awesome games like Speed, Sunday Driver, and Crash up Derby, we could also probably make and FFA sumo too.
Here is my proposal for 343’s first playlist update, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.
Another thing they could do for Infection is take out the Alpha Zombies mode. Which is harder to headshot, a zombie rolling at you or a zombie running at you head-first?
> Sounds good.

I feel like if they made it so that the Alpha Zombie had shields instead of sprint, then it could do very well.
Doesn’t living dead consistently have the highest population of any playlist? Why change it if it’s the most popular? I haven’t played it in a long while but I imagine if so many people are playing it, it must be doing something right.

the only reason most people play LD is so that they can pad their stats

It is only popular because people get to sit there and get easy kills on zombies as the run head first at them. It’s boring as a human and it sucks being a zombie. I wouldn’t mind playing Living Dead if you didn’t get constantly killed by campers.
Don’t even get me started on campers. The zombie can’t do ANYTHING against them except rush them and hope they lower their guard. Other than that you are basically running into death traps the entire game.
Long story short, Living Dead was fun before Alpha Zombies
