I’m currently in the Gold ranking for all of my playlists… While I don’t think that’s a good ranking im a bit bummed that it seems to take so long to get any higher. Literally one minute im Gold rank 2 and then im rank 1 again. I consider myself average but not good good… However I really do find that when I do perform my team doesn’t (big team for example). I know I might be better off doing FFA butttt I’ll probebly be bronze knowing my luck. My question is though, how many games would you need to win in a row to go from gold to platinum?
Hard to say really, idk… I would say between 20-30 games you would have to win with very few losses.

This does not directly answer your question but you can check out your CSR progress in Game history now. Green/Red show how much it increase/decrease respectively. From my own rank (diamond), It’s 6 wins to rank up to diamond 2 but everytime I lose it’s 3 wins’ progress gone.
the most important thing in terms of ranking up is what rank the people you’re playing against are. If you’re a gold and playing platinums or onyx…and you win…you’re gonna go up significantly. Etc.
I went from platinum to diamond to onyx in slayer pretty quickly over about a week. (probably around 15 to 25 games) That’s because I was playing against people ranked higher than me and winning.
Social Playlist would be nice. I am platinum rank 2 in Free-for-all and don’t want to lose it but want to play. Looking forward to social so I can practice.

Well is there anyone platinum or diamond on here that wouldn’t mind pairing up with me next time I’m on? If it’s no hassle that is! I’m not the best but I guess I’m better than bronze and silver… Some days I have good runs and others I am flat out getting to 10 kills unfortunately (really bad day)

Everyone has bad games and someone has to be the guy in 4th although none of us want to be there, as long as you aren’t feeding the other team kills and contributing in assists (working as a team) what you do in 4th can can then be the difference between a win or a loss
That’s fair enough, yeah I’m defiantly not trying to just jump in and hope my team wins for the sake of it. I do generally get a lot of assists. People can check my csr if they like online?
Why the rush to get a higher rank? Unless you have a regular team that you play with then where you are pretty much depends on the randoms you get matched up with. If you’re an average player then I would suggest just keep playing and enjoying the game rather than worrying about what rank you are…if you get boosted to Platinum you may well regret it and find the game less enjoyable.
edit: no offence but I’ve just checked your service record and I really don’t think you’d enjoy the experience of playing Plats or Diamonds…you may learn a few things but I doubt you’d enjoy it. I’ve got a secondary gt which I share with my friends which is currently Gold5…it gets matched with Plats so happy for you to add me on that if you’d like to see how you’d get on: TheSkatMonkey
It was strange for me, seemed to take ages to get out of gold, but then I’m smashing through platinum really quick.
You can track your progress on halotracker and waypoint.
Leaving a match makes you derank a whole level. I got disconnected 3 times last night and won the only game I eventually played. I was plat 5, one game off plat 6 now I’m only just on plat 3 by like 22% I think.
I don’t mind if people check my csr, it’s cool I understand I’m not the best of players. I know what you’re saying about going to platinum and then not enjoying the game as much. I just feel that lately, especially in big team I go really well in, I’ve been bummed out because people aren’t working awass a team. As an example, CTF, I scored twice, then the other team did so I stayed on defence and it was me and one other person that was helping which was great. But you get to the point where you’re like what is everyone else doing? Long story short we lost, went to sudden death and I topped the ranking of my team but we lost. I love the team stuff, and go better with it than 4 on 4 slayer. But I find as I’m playing more I’m obviously getting better.
Everyone makes a good point and I know I may be better off in gold but I’d like to be platinum for one at least. Even if it was big team
