Hi there, just recently I made I new account just so I could get some practice on slayer and free for all,so I done my 10 games on slayer and done quite well only losing 1 game and keeping above 10 kda but I could only get rank platinum 2, I feel I bit cheat ed with that rank feel I done well enough for a higher ranking this isn’t the first time this has happened where you play well in you 10 game but don’t get a high rank, this seems to be a problem…

My guess is they do this to prevent newcomers from getting dominated by more “experienced”/higher level players.
That being said, when I got 10 wins in a row on Halo wars 2 beta, I got diamond one. So if it isn’t a newcomer filter type of system, then the ranking system in halo 5 is broken.
Ive struggled with it too but finally came to accept it. I am onyx in swat but always rank in platinum and have to rank up by winning games every time the season resets. Not a big deal but you will always rank lower than your actual ranks. Especially on a new account

The ranking system is beyond broken. Worst in the series in my opinion

Couldnt agree more. I have fnished onyx in ffa 6 seasons in a row, yet placed diamond 1 or lower in all but the season where you had no placement cap (i.e. you could place at champ). And that was only diamond 3. Its getting silly now, i should be placing at least onyx 1500 in my opinion cos its quite clear i should be at least that rank. Onyx every season means i am quite obviously onyx. Especially as i can only play so often so feel underranked. Now im onyx 2050+ and cant even get games against uk players like me. With that rank i should surely get onyx now. But i bet i will place plat 6 instead next season.
