As we all know, CSR Means nothing, it has no value what so ever, it just means how much you play like the 130 Rank however in a different form, i think if 343 would stop murdering the original fan base off, they would be a more succesful community, i loved halo 3 to how simplimatic the matchmaking system was to show how good someone was.
the only way you can tell on this game that someone is good, is if they are well known in the first place.
All 343 need to do is add a ingame playlist progession that is visable and does not require a laptop/ computer to show , such as the one added to halo 3 that shows levels alongside EXP.
I’ve always been against ranks. Not because of having played Halo 3 and experiencing the problems it had first hand (I didn’t as my first Halo was Halo Reach), but because of my reading many threads about the topic on the old Bungie forums and also on these forums.
However, now CSR is here and I have had time to experience the ranking system, I have come to the view that the system is pointless unless it is in game visible. < That is a huge statement as it is coming from me. I was 100 per cent anti CSR or any ranking system.
343i, please, we all know it can be done, so please add in game CSR.343i,you have stated that the main reason why you didn’t is because of the Halo 3 account selling etc. However, the way you have stated that the CSR is designed, with rank resets and, also that ranks do not stay at CSR fifty but, can go down again if that person is beaten by lower ranks. If that is really the case, then the reasons for not having in game ranks has been solved by you and I do not see any further reasons why they should not now be included as you have designed a system which stops what you wanted to avoid…account selling and the like.
For example, if someone sold a CSR fifty to a player with far lesser skill, that CSR fifty would very quickly go down due to the new account holders lack of skill. This is completely different from Halo 3 where the rank would stay at fifty no matter how bad the new account holder was.

You weren’t ‘locked’ at 50 once you attained it. If you lost, you could still de-rank from 50. All players who’d bought accounts would do is not play the playlist that 50 is in, as would players who buy accounts on Halo 4.
I’m not arguing against in-game ranks here, but this is true. It’s just that account selling is done by such a small percentage of the population it’s not a good enough reason to spoil it for the rest of us.
