PLAYLIST FEEDBACK: Team Slayer

Please discuss the Team Slayer playlist here.

With the inclusion of Armor Lock and being only 4 players per team in this playlist, I believe that it should be the “Social” Slayer playlist, while Squad/Arena should be the “Ranked” ones.

That being said, I think Team Slayer should remove the Forge Maps and increase the max local players to four (Fills a Team). Arena should then remove the Jetpack and increase to 5v5. Then Squad Slayer should be dropped. With The max local players being set at 1 now, you can also add Forge maps to this playlist.

I know this all isn’t about Team Slayer, but it’s all related. I’ll probably post this in the others as well.

The forge maps on here should be removed, and make the max local players up to 4.
Since its a more basic and Default style of gameplay, plus the team max is 4 players, would make a great idea to do this for the local party players.

On the other hand, on Squad Slayer put there all the community maps, some are bigger and works better with 5v5 and no armor lock, plus this playlist works better with 2 local max players since its 5v5 based

One or two of the forged maps are fun to play… Cant really remember the names of the ones I like. Oh wait Think twice is ok.
Is it Renova with the hole in the middle of the map dropping down to the Rocket pick up? Yeah that one is the worst map ever made the creator should kill himself in shame.(jk)

I dont really have a problem with team slayer other than crappy maps.

Said the same thing in another topic. We need more shipped maps and less forged maps.

I feel that all maps, shipped and DLC, need to be in the voting in team slayer if you own them. I bought these maps to play on and the only playlist to have a good verity is the DLC playlist. I would enjoy it if all maps, excluding forge maps because i dislike most of them, be rotated very often in team slayer. Yes I enjoy playing on Sword Base, just not 3 times consecutively. Especially if there are eighteen maps currently.

I would really like to see maps in the smaller team based playlists (Team Slayer, Squad Slayer, etc.) that utilize vehicles, instead of just Big Team. In Halo 3, some of the best games i played were Team or Social Slayer when we had two or three guys on foot and a Warthog, Ghost, or Banshee driving around for support. I don’t know if this will be seen by 343, but if it is, please take this into consideration!

Sounds pretty good to me, but if this playlist has Armor Lock, then for the love of GOD apply the current TU nerf on Armor Lock.

Most of the forge maps are better than most of the Reach default maps.

imho i would make this playlist:

AA team slayer

  • Team Slayer (AA on, Radar on, Assault Rifle)
  • Team Slayer DMR: (AA on, radar on, DMR 85%)

Team Slayer Advance

  • Team Slayer Pro (AA off, radar off, DMR 85%)
  • ZB Team Slayer(AA off, radar on, DMR ZB)

1.) update armor lock to its semi-balanced counterpart. really. just do it.

2.) REMOVE JET PACK ENTIRELY.

3.) UPDATE all of the MAPS to strictly-better forged counterparts. some of the maps havent been updated at ALL since RELEASE. its embarrassing.

I can’t say I’m a fan of the current forge world offerings. Sometimes they’re fun, but the geometry has to be so simple for them to even be playable its tough for me to even call them “maps”. They’re really just “spaces”. As a forge lover, I think its a shame, and hopefully future Halos will have much more robust forge tools (like an effing texture palette) and more powerful engines that allow community maps to reach their awesome potential, but we just don’t live in that world yet.

I also think its high time for elite slayer to get its own playlist. I love elite slayer and I think the difference between spartans and elites was one of the most interesting changes in Reach, but I never vote for it in TS because… I’m there for vanilla TS. I don’t even like DMR slayer, that’s how vanilla I am in TS! But when I DO want to play elite slayer, I’d like to have that option and play it with other people who like it.

Also, definitely DON’T remove jetpack. What the heck… are people seriously having trouble shooting up? Maybe its time to raise your sensitivity past 3.

While, being so close to the TU, I will hold my actual playlist feedback, Renova was not designed for a full 4v4. That is all.

Nevermind, most of the maps in this playlist don’t deserve to be in matchmaking. The spawning is usually horrible, they are bland, and they have nothing special about them. Hopefully 343 will do an overhaul soon and put some REAL maps in. coughhintcough

What Happened to Sword Base? Bring it back please. After you update and polish it first of course :slight_smile:

This is Team Slayer not Team Helicopters. I suggest you learn the difference.
