PLAYLIST FEEDBACK: Super Slayer

Please discuss the Super Slayer playlist here.

Bump Super Slayer up to 5v5, remove the community maps, make it exactly like how Squad Slayer was.

Add bleed-through back.

Add Arena ranking to Super Slayer and two things will happen, one it will actually be “super” and two, it will have considerably more players populating it.

I believe that would be called a win win =)

As a result of the Team Slayer vote, it’s supposed to be identical to Team Slayer except for the TU, so whatever non-TU modifications are made to it need to be made to TS as well. With this in mind, I suggest that the same party restrictions that were in effect in Squad Slayer be added to this playlist, but it should remain 4v4 and none of the maps should be dropped. Rather, new community maps should be added to this playlist and to TS. To accommodate those who just must have a 5v5 Slayer playlist: Make Arena and TU ZB Slayer 5v5 instead of altering this list.

needs 110 Speed and jump :stuck_out_tongue:

Make it 5v5, add big party restrictions to the playlist, and get rid of the community maps and Sword Base.

I would love to see squad slayer back, but it always had a low pop the party restrictions in squad was always a pain made it impossible finding a game when your in a large group. Also if were getting rid of maps removing all noble/defiant from every playlist would be really nice.

I always found a game of 5v5 when I was searching with five, regardless of the population.

super slayer needs sqaud slayers search settings, i’ve noticed that a lot of competent teams seach in this playlist and it isn’t fun to be matched against them most of the time while searching solo.

Super Slayer is a failure. Get rid of it and bring back Squad.

Those who keep asking for maps to be removed haven’t learned the main lesson of the TS vote: Be careful of what you ask for; you may just get it. In this case, maps may get removed, but it may not be the ones you want removed; it may be the ones you like.

They also don’t listen well. Again: The playlist is supposed to satisfy those who wanted a TU Team Slayer playlist. Super Slayer was set up to be identical to Team Slayer except for the TU. If 343i were to remove maps from Super Slayer, they’d in essence be going back on their implicit word and intent.

As I keep saying, if you don’t like a map, don’t vote for it. If it gets in anyway, then that’s what the people in the lobby want to play on, and they have as much right to that map as you do to the ones you favor. If people are voting for Community maps, they must really want to play on them, especially since they seem to be showing up in the last voting slot. Why should a map that people want to play on be eliminated??? So it makes no sense to ask for their removal.

> Super Slayer is a failure.

By what criterion? It has about the same population as Squad Slayer did. There doesn’t seem to be a discernible loss.

It doesn’t have the same population. It’s closer to half, if even that. Hell, even The Arena (which is one of the biggest failures in Halo history) has a higher population than Super Slayer at times.

No, you are flat out wrong. The population initially was very high, then it quickly settled down to approximately the same level Squad Slayer was at before the changeover.

There needs to be a higher weighting on DMR starts. I don’t jump into a TU playlist to wander around with an AR, or play with those who do. The pistol is better in TU, which is nice, but DMR starts need to be around 4/6 of the voting options instead of 2/6.

I don’t hink so. Virtually every game I get into in Super Slayer has a DMR start.

And not to re-open an ancient debate, but AR starts are better if for no other reason than that you should be required to find and possibly fight over a weapon as good as the DMR. It needs to be earned; you shouldn’t have a free pass to possessing one. This also promotes and rewards map knowledge, which adds to the skill gap that so many seem to want. Someone as exceptionally good as you should have no problem acquiring a DMR rather quickly, and voila, you no longer have to wander around with an AR.

Edit: And I don’t get why you automatically connect “TU playlist” with “DMR start.”

Please add the same search settings and party restriction settings Squad Slayer had. Sometimes I would be paired with a group of decent players, but most of the time I get paired with inexperienced players against a party of experienced players.

No, you are flat out wrong. The population was initially about the same a squad, and then quickly settled down to about the same or less than Arena.

I played quite a bit of squad slayer, and I never recall seeing the population as low as super slayer is on a regular basis.

super slayer initially had the same amount of players as team slayer, after a while super slayers population decreased while team slayers population increased, now super slayers population is close to what squad slayer was.

squad was, from what i noticed 300 - 2000
super slayer, from what i notice is 300 - 1800
