I am very happy with the arrival of the new playlists. I would like to leave you some 343 feedback regarding the entire playlist management.
Currently, anyone who wants to play harcdore goes to the Arena. Those who want a lighter and more carefree experience have at their disposal: Slayer, Swat, Fiesta, FFA, BTB. They are all playlists with no ranking system and I find it right.
On the other hand, I find the quick start playlist useless and redundant. There is no need. In its place, I would consider this alternatives to enhance the offer:
SLATER PRO
This semi-competitive playlist would be between competitive play (Arena) and social play (all other playlists). I thought so, slightly different from the past but I think it would work better that way in this game:
SETTINGS:
Primary Weapon: BR
Secondary Weapon: AR
Radar: ON
MAPS
Currently we would use the current maps but, one day, the community maps built in forge could merge. This could lead to some remakes of the past, but also many new Arena-style maps, ideal for a fun semi-competitive game.
Among the old maps, Iād like to see these remakes in the future:
-Battle Creek / Beaver Creek / Battle Canyon
-Chill Out / Cold Storage
-Prisoner / Solitary
-Wizard / Warlock / Warlord
-Ivory Tower / Reflection
-Lockout / Balckout / Lockdown
-Midship / Heretic / Truth
-Sancturary / Asylum / Shrine
-Guardian
-The Pit / Pitfall
-Arena Zealot
-Countdown
-Haven / Mercy
Another thing I wanted to talk about is the progression system in social playlists. It would be nice to have something similar to the ranks of Halo Reach (from recruit to general, up to eclipse) but with a more simple system, an EXP/Skill hybrid:
Good Victory: +2
Victory: +1
Defeat: -1
Bad Defeat: -2
Quit: -3
Where good & bad take into account individual performance (KDA for example, but not only). 6 Tiers for each Rank, 2 points for each Tier (up to General), so you can go up from recruit 1 to recruit 2 by one good win or two simple wins. For the ranks with pictures, you could progressively increase the number of points needed to level up.
In conclusion, I know you have a lot of stuff to work on. But consider this thing. In my opinion it would add a lot to the overall multiplayer experience. Good job.
